In practice for more than 20 years, Dr. Fertig is highly regarded for his expertise in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. Dr. Fertig is president of the Diabetes and Osteoporosis Center of Central New Jersey, which he founded in 1995. He is also the Chairman of the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at JFK Medical Center and an Assistant Professor at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center. Brian Fertig has always been a leader in his field. He served as a fourth-year administrative and teaching chief medical resident at Englewood Medical Center as a joint program with The Mount Sinai Medical School in New York City, and served there as a Clinical Instructor. During that time, he earned the Chief Resident Award, and the longstanding co-chairman of the Department of Medicine at Englewood Medical Center wrote that Dr. Fertig was one of the best chief medical residents in recent memory.
