This guy should sell real estate or used cars. You'll know what I mean within 3 minutes of walking into his office on Golf Drive in Medford. He lies to people about pain meds, the "guidelines" for opiates, and medical marijuana use (while promoting his overpriced "hemp" oil),while deliberately overbooking his patients via incompetent and uncaring staff so that 1-2 hour waits for appointments are the norm. He also books you for two appointments to do things other providers accomplish in one! If you have any choice at all, go someplace else!

I had to drive 2 hours to this appointment, as there are no pain management doctors on the coast. I waited over 30 minutes to be roomed. But then discovered it was well worth the wait. Dr. Quave was through & very attentive in answering all my questions. He never made me feel rushed even though I knew he was busy with a full schedule. I look forward to working with Dr. Quave. Finally, someone who understands pain and it’s affects.

So far I have only had the Preliminary Visit and the Forced Class on Opioids. I am not at all impressed with how this clinic is run. Very Haphazardly at the most. Second appointment has been changed with a provider multiple times due to someone not being there. They even tried to make prescription refill appoint on a day I would not be in town. And the Scheduler seemed put out that I would not accept that day. Very Unprofessional Understaffed Clinic. Far too many patients and not enough staff.

Hey Dr.Quave.. I thought I would go to the Opiate Class and know everything, after 20yrs of Cronic Pain in my Spine..I was Wrong..The class was fascinating..Hard for someone like me to sit threw, but I learned a lot..So glad I went..You asked me how I was doing..The very fact that I sat threw the class, spoke volumes to managing my pain..All I could think of was how bad Your Expertise & Knowledge is Needed in the Ashland area..So as unbearable as it was for me to drive & sit, it was worth it.ksp

Excellent experience I didn't wait long. His staff is very caring and kind. He ( his staff) zeros in on the pain and gets results at relieving it. ?? . I had a trial nerve block done. I was out of pain for most of the 6 hours its meant to be. Even if I don't see him but his staff, they all are trained well and great at what they do. If your after results , and I am. I can wait even if it does take 40 or 100 MIN. . I will see His staff as they find out which path to send me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

My experience with Dr. Quave has always been good. He is good at doing procedures. My problem is with the Quave clinic as a whole. They do not treat each patient as an individual. We are made to feel like drug addicts on a drug treatment program. This Wednesday my house was burglarized. My pain script was stolen, but the clinic would not help me. If my wife hadn't put a few in her purse, I would be in the hospital. I did not choose to break my back or have back surgery or be on meds.

Never did meet the good doctor as after waiting for an hour in the waiting room for my initial appointment I left. That was after arriving a good 30 mins ahead to make sure paperwork was in order, naively thinking that I might be seen a little sooner. A roomful of patients, many who arrived after I did, were seen before me. Ridiculous. If I ran my business that way I'd be out of business. Staff was unphased, as if that kind of wait should be normal or expected. It's not and it shouldn't be.

Although I believe Dr Quave himself is an excellent physician, the office itself is very poor. I have never waited for less than an hour for my scheduled appointment. That is unacceptable but they act like it is normal procedure.... there are many patients here always, but they close the office for half days on Fridays? Although the office staff is usually pleasant, it seems as though there may be a few perhaps unnecessary steps that are charged to insurance before needed procedures can be done.

Dr. Quave's billing staff are virtually non existent. I needed a pre- authorization for my insurance to pay for a lab procedure, and called numerous times, never to get a return call. His office staff will relate that "someone will contact you", and then it simply won't happen. Its not that they are to busy, they obviously don't have the staff in place to run an office effectivley.
