I was really disappointed with my visit today with Dr. Gilbert. My appointment was at 9:30 and doctor saw me at 11 AM. No body in the office told me, why the delay. I had provided the doctor with MRI's taken in India. The doctor spent 5 minutes, did not examine my knee and did not answer our concerns. He contradicted the findings in the MRI. I wish, doctors will take patient care seriously. After spending 2 hours, I have to see another Ortho doctor for the same condition.

Dr. Gilbert performed a highly successful hip replacement surgery for me a little over a month ago. His PA Al Teel and the team at Emerge Ortho offered excellent care and support before and after surgery. The surgery itself was performed at NC Specialty Hospital. I was impressed with the care and the efficiency and speed of discharge. Before the procedure, Dr. Gilbert always presented all treatment options and made sure it was my choice to have surgery.

I had total knee replacement in December, and I am very pleased with the results. I am walking, doing yard work and riding my bicycle again. Three months after surgery, I was able to ride my bicycle 31 miles on the greenway! I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert and Triangle Ortho PT!

Gilbert is probably very good as a surgeon. However, his current PA is a huge problem. The guy appears to lack basic knowledge as to reviewing a patient chart and prescribing the proper meds for a patient. In addition, the clinic staff are very nice but they need RN's not medical assistances performing more complicated tasks. And this is just the beginning of the problems. I have not confidence in his ortho team.

Very good experience with Dr. Gilbert on my total hip replacement. He took the time to explain everything to me, very professional but also made me feel at ease. His recommendation of North Carolina Specialty Hospital proved to be an excellent experience, the private room was large and quiet, nurses were attentive and the food was good!

Dr. Gilbert and his team changed my life (and my hip)! From the first visit, I knew he was confident, competent, pays attention to detail, and was caring about my problem and offering a solution. I was told by several professional colleagues that have actually worked with him, that “You made an excellent choice of surgeon”. My experience was extremely professional, organized, accessible, responsive, and complete. I am elated at how well everything went and how fantastic I feel.

Dr Gilbert was able to determine exactly what was wrong with my hip upon viewing the X-rays his team prepared. I had been visiting a different surgeon for a year before this with poor results. He replaced my hip with minimal pain and the finest results possible! I was up and walking on day 1. You must be prepared to work for your own recovery. I recommend that you don't delay your repair. Get it done, get better, and get your life back. I did!

I had a hip replacement on 11/30/2015 that was performed by Dr. Gilbert. The operation was a major success with no pain. I was able to resume my life within two and a half months. I would highly recommend Dr. Gilbert.
