What People Say About Dr. Bret Garretson, MD

In my opinion he is a very smug, condescending and judgmental. Any experience with him as a physician - and I use that term lightly - is always the same. Awful. He acts as though he is the one paying to see you when in fact the patient is paying his salary, so wouldn't you think he would be friendly and compassionate? He is a blight on the doctors that began that practice. Why are there no zeros in your rating system? I would rate him a zero. One star is too high for a person of his caliber. Based upon my experience with doctors from Charlotte to Cleveland Clinic, In my opinion this is a poor excuse for a doctor (?). I would never recommend this doctor and suggest you choose any other doctor in this practice than Garretson He has no compassion, care or concern and is a absolutely no help. In my opinion, he should retire as he must have forgotten the Hippocratic Oath he took when becoming a doctor. Or may be he skipped that part of school. Very disappointing. 0 stars.

Garretson never understood that I had 2 separate problems. He asked if I felt better and I explained that the pain and extreme bloating had returned. He said it was probably my fault. It turned out that my gallbladder was only functioning at 20% and it required surgery. I obviously went to a different person to discover this. Based on my experience I would say that not only is he a dreadful doctor but he is also an absolutely horrible person. I suggest you choose anyone besides Garretson.

Dr Garretson does not know how to treat patients. His level of medical knowledge is suspect. It is a shame there is no other gastroenterologist group in Rock Hill.

Awful doctor no compassion, care or concern about my father at all. He was so smug and acted as if he did not have time for us. This experience was awful I would never recommend him to anyone not even an animal. My dad appt was with the Dr., he sent in a nurse practitioner in she was only concerned about if I was a nurse or not. so she left out of the exam room and the Dr. came in it was so disrespectful he did not acknowledge any question or concerns we had there was no reason for the appt.
