Dr. Ball performed a cervical arthroplasty to address a large C6-7 disc herniation, and 3 months later a lumbar laminectomy to remove a synovial cyst compressing the nerve to my left leg. I was extremely surprised that the post operative pain was manages so well. I was completely off of pain medication within a week, and it feels like the clock has been rolled back 10 years. I hadn't appreciated the level of chronic pain I had been living with until after the surgeries. I never dreamed I could have such a great outcome. I have been recommending Dr. Ball to friends and family since surgery based on my positive outcomes.

Dr. Ball performed XLIF surgery on my wife in 2015. The surgery failed and she has chronic pain. I realize the success rate is 70%, but he never was honest with us as her spine curved and it was clear the surgery failed. Cut and run. No physical therapy was offered. He under prescribed pain meds after 2 surgeries in two weeks she had to be transported by ambulance to emergency for pain. There is no aftercare. Look for a surgeon with a conscience.

As for my surgery, and for the Dr’s PA Wesley, everything was good. For that, I am thankful to the Dr. However, I went to the office three times, called multiple times to get medical records and got nothing. I needed them for an urgent matter and they were no help. Other Drs I asked for my records emailed me and I had them in 3 hours. They’re still using some antiquated system where they mail them out through an external service. It was very frustrating. They need to get with the times and let patients have their own records in a timely fashion!

Awful! I would not recommend him to anyone. He did only two physical check ups within 4 months and after a back surgery. In every single visit he walked in the room, sat on a chair, stared at me, said two words to me and walked out of the room. He never showed any empathy, compassion, and didn't give a s* about what is going on with my injury.

dr Bret ball, was who I was referred to and who my insurance works with. Not only did he invalidate my symptoms, he told me to do weight loss surgery. which my insurance will not cover, and you have to be able to lose weight on your own before hand. He told me to do EVERYTHING I have already done, or can not do, like walk a hour every day. he told me to do things my PT has told me not to do, as it makes my symptoms worse. He never said his name when he came in. so if it wasn't for his coat I would have no idea who he was, he mispronounced my name and kept going on about how in south America it would be said that way. He slouched the entire time, and truthfully.. I was waiting for him to take out his phone and totally ignore me. He told me to get better insurance, so they will pay for weight loss surgery and a dietitian. someone who is disabled and can't work. He would sit there not talking just staring at me. he made me extremely uncomfortable. I would NOT recommend him

After living with multiple ruptured discs and other spinal complications for almost twenty years, I developed severe leg pain. I was determined never to have fusion, but I was in much more pain than usual; it was miserable, constantly. Dr. Ball was recommended by my GP, so I went to discuss options. He was patient, thorough and sympathetic. He recommended a laminectomy and discectomy. I did some research; evaluated the risks, and scheduled the surgery. The kind and helpful staff facilitated my having the procedure within 3 days. It went smoothly, and the excruciating pain in my leg was gone within hours. Recovery was SO much easier than I anticipated. Dr. Ball advised that I limit lifting and twisting, wear my back brace, and that I do a lot of walking. I have no reservations about recommending him if you are having nerve pain that is impairing your quality of life. I just wish I hadn't waited six months before seeking his help.

Chronic neck pain on the left side and shoulderfor several months… Referred to by a chiropractor and came in with an x-ray . 1st consultation.... no physical exam at all .. he basically asked me every question that I had already filled out on the paper before the appointment and then said that I need an MRI. He yawned the entire time of the appointment. Second appointment after the MRI… Again absolutely no physical exam or testing done for my neck at all for range of motion or movement . Chronic Pain is on the left side and. He told me that it looks like some disc problem on the right side. I completely and thoroughly read the entire MRI diagnosis before hand and I don't understand how he is saying that when it totally says that I have pronounced arthritis on the left side with nerve compression . I felt like he did not acknowledge the chronic pain that I am in or discuss how to handle it with the work that I do . Suggested surgery or I could try a steroid injection .

Don't believe the staff when they tell you your insurance will cover the visit. There is a good chance it will go to your deductible. Bret Ball saw me for 5 minutes and sent out a bill for $615 for a new patent extended 45 minute office visit. He did me know good, it was a total waste of time.

My first and last visit with Dr. Bell did not go well. They had not requested test results from referring dr or imaging. I was told they could get them in about an hour. I walked out. Then the office had the nerve to bill my insurance $500.00 for a consultation that did not happen due to their unprofessional failure to be prepared for a new patient!

I am an elderly woman in my 60's and thought I would have no quality of life again until Dr. Ball performed surgery on my spine. I am now able to walk upright and without a walker! I was bent over for almost three years, with pain and numbness in the left hip and leg. Also, Dr. Ball has a great bedside manner. He spends quality time with his patients and treats them like an equal. He patiently listens to my issues. The aftercare he offers with PT and OT is awesome!
