Dr. Carofino & Brice Snyder (athletic trainer) are the most professional & personable providers. I scheduled another visit to ask the many questions & concerns I had about my upcoming surgery. Both were so patient & kind to me. I truly felt they are committed to me as a patient & enjoy their work. Brice is extremely knowledgeable. The office staff is welcoming & you can tell they like their work.

Dr. Carofino recommended total shoulder replacement after reviewing my tests and listening to my concerns. I've just completed my 6 month checkup. I am very pleased with the results and how Dr. Carofino has treated me. He always asks what my questions are and shows me the x-rays, explaining what I was seeing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or return if I need him again.

If you are considering this doctor, do yourself a favor and don’t consider him. He asks for your medication history and then prescribes medication you told him you couldn’t take. He does not take responsibility for giving you the incorrect medication and refuses to correct the problem. His staff is rude and very unhelpful. So if you go to him don’t expect him to help you with your pain. He ignores his patients needs and is dismissive once your surgery is complete. This man definitely definitely does not follow the medical oath he took, “do no harm”.

I had two rotatory cuff surgeries with Dr. Carofino. He is an excellent surgeon with a personable manner. Truly understands his profession and is well versed in all aspects of care of injuries. He also operated on my mother a few years ago with an outstanding outcome. His staff is excellent and assistants know what they are doing.

I was very pleased with Dr. Carofino, Brice and my physical therapist in Nags Head. The entire team was very efficient, professional, and yet caring. They all worked well together to make my surgery a success by any definition. My experience was exactly the way they had explained to me and it gave me tremendous confidence in their skills. I was encouraged to call if I had any questions. I had my surgery on Jan 2 and started playing golf the second week of May. It has been very rewarding.
