My daughter is a top junior tennis player in the nation. She torn her lateral meniscus during her training. Dr. Cohen had a quick and accurate diagnosis based on MRI (which was verified by 2nd opinion), arranged and performed surgery within a week. He explained to us all the risks and possible outcomes. The surgery was a complete success. My daughter was able to walk without pain in a week. After PT for a week, she got all her range back, and started playing tennis in 4 weeks without any pain at all. I have no doubt that she will be back to the top junior/pro level soon. Dr. Cohen is very professional, caring, and extremely experienced. I highly recommend him.

Dr Cohen and his office staff were very professional, thorough and helped me through a right hip surgery Sept 2020. Dr Cohen's energy, confidence and guidance were helpful in making the decision to move forward with the surgery. Post surgery care was also amazing and happy to say the results are great.

Dr. Cohen replaced my right hip in August of 2020. I’m now 8 weeks post surgery. I’ve been very pleased with the whole process and, particularly Dr. Cohen. He scheduled it promptly and his office guided me through the pre-surgery and post surgery process. I had out-patient surgery at the Poway Surgery Center. It took 70 minutes and several hours later I was able to walk out to my car with the aid of a walker. I felt little, if any, pain through the process. I was walking without a cane in two weeks and now walk pain-free. My leg is getting stronger every day. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen. He uses the posterior approach on hips and, after researching it online, I was comfortable with that. He is experienced, skillful, meticulous and caring. His staff were available and very helpful. I would go back to Dr. Cohen again.

Dr. Cohen is The Best! He is a very good listener, patient, kind and discerning. I did not feel pressured to have surgery ever; he let me decide when would be the right time for me. Even after he very pointedly said it would be better to not wait, he still let me wait. He is very professional and easy to communicate with; and besides that, he is fun, and wicked smart!

If you are active or a sports athlete, Dr. Cohen is simply the best. I broke my tibia plateau 12 years ago and was having severe knee discomfort from the bone grinding on the plate that was installed. He came up with a plan to remove the hardware in my left knee and repair my meniscus while he removed it. He also scoped my right knee and repaired the meniscus in that one. His professionalism and skill was beyond impressive. If you are having issues, i cannot recommend him enough.

After waiting for 4 months for a knee replacement, in my health plan, I was referred to Dr. Cohen by many fellow parishioners at St. Bartholomew's Church. I was fit into his schedule after a cancellation and soon had my knee replacement. My knee replacement surgery/recovery went smoothly, as expected, and the result went beyond my expectation! I have returned to my regular exercise regime and other activities, without restriction or pain! Dr. Cohen was personable and professional.

Dr. Cohen is excellent. He replaced my knee a few years ago and this past January he repaired my shoulder rotator cuff and a tendon of my bicep. He is a wonderful surgeon and has a fantastic bed side manner. He knew on first visit what was wrong with my shoulder and had x rays and mri done immediately. Dr. Cohen explained every thing from the start, through the surgery, and after. With his expertise and physical therapy I can now use my arm without pain. I recommend Dr. Cohen very highly for all orthopedic surgery.

Dr Cohen diagnosed my problem quickly. I had a subluxed bicep tendon causing pain and difficulty using my right arm. He ordered an MRI without delay and surgery scheduled quickly to repair it before more damage was done. During surgery a full thickness rotator cuff tear was seen and also repaired. Dr Cohen showed me photos he took during the arthroscopic procedure and answered all my questions fully. I'm receiving physical therapy now and will soon have full range of motion in my arm. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Cohen performed a knee replacement for me. From start to finish the process was made easy by Dr. Cohen keeping me updated and educated from start to finish. Comparing my experience to like procedures with friends with different physicians, it was clear that my experience far exceeded theirs in all aspects. Once at the hospital it was extremely clear the high regard Dr. Cohen is held in by the staff and his peers. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen.

After 2 years of being told there is nothing we can do for your constant knee pain at your age (55), I finally got the chance to see Dr. Cohen. He got straight to the point and explained what needed to be done to improve my quality of life. He looked at me and my knee not my age and usual protocols of who gets a knee replacement. He answered the 2 million questions I had and continue to have. He genuinely cares about his patients and what is best for them. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Cohen for any orthopedic needs you may have.

I went to Dr. Cohen for revision of my total knee replacement. In addition to his excellent surgical skills, he knows how to put people at ease. I appreciate the time he took to thoroughly explain the procedure and to answer all my questions. In addition to his knowledge and skills, his friendliness and sense of humor are a bonus. I will definitely be seeing him again when it's time for my left knee to be replaced.
