Oh I believe Dr. Cohen is a very competent surgeon and he definitely knew what I needed in order to fix my carpal tunnel but he is the most rude Cocky and arrogant man that I have ever met! He made me feel so Uncomfortable the morning of surgery I actually had to walk back to the OR to have my 2nd scheduled carpal tunnel surgery on my other arm and I was feeling uneasy knowing what I had to have done again and I think most doctors would have said something like its OK You know I will take good care of you and there’s nothing to worry about. Sensing my Hesitancy, Mr. Egotistical instead replies we don’t have to do it you can just go home and I won’t waste my time! Who says something like that this conceited professional does end it wasn’t the first time unfortunately I did have to go back and see him because in addition I have a torn bicep and he had the audacity to tell me it did not hurt when You could see the muscle wad up whenever I tried to use it!! Extremely unprofessional!

Dr. Cohen is the best!
So thankful for Dr. Cohen's professionalism and expertise. My wife had knee replacement surgery and quite frankly I view our experience as a miracle. Dr. Cohen was perfect and I must complement the office staff as well. So helpful and attentive. I am so thankful for his confidence, experience and knowledge. I have seen several people use the word arrogant to describe Dr. Cohen. I couldn't disagree more. Don't confuse arrogance with confidence. He is confident and absolutely should be. In my opinion he is the best orthopedic surgeon in San Diego County. So thankful we chose him and his staff.

If you are looking for a very competent surgeon to evaluate a shoulder injury, then look no further. Dr. Brad Cohen was, and is highly recommended by private physicians as well as myself. I have had two excellent shoulder repairs by Dr. Cohen. I felt extremely confident in Dr. Cohen’s evaluation of my injuries and his surgical procedures. Grateful to be back to my athletes once again. Thank you so very much. Elisa Cipriano

Shockingly rude and uncompassionate
I went there with my brother, who has Cerebral Palsy. Dr Cohen was an arrogant dismissive man. He actually said of my brother: "I've seen him around. He walks real goofy" multiple times. Are you kidding me?

New Hip
Dr. Cohen did a full hip replacement for me 10 years ago due to osteoarthritis. When my other hip wore out I had no doubt about who I wanted to perform the replacement. Dr. Cohen is the best at what he does and managed to get an excellent result for me from a highly degraded hip. He is also a very personable guy, who I enjoy talking with.

He was very helpful and did an excellent job on my joint replacement. The only issue I have relates to the recommendation from him and from the hospital to 'keep ahead of the pain.' Taken literally, that means 'never let yourself feel pain' and that means you can take meds far beyond when you need them. I understand that some surgeons are no longer using that language.

Dr. Cohen was recommended by my primary physician. He operated on my hip giving me a full replacement. I am recovering quickly and completely! I found Dr. Cohen to be a thorough and competent surgeon who listens carefully and explains completely. He responds quickly to requests. I could not be happier with the results of my surgery or with the care I received before, during, and after the surgery. His staff is polite and knowledgeable.

I am very happy to provide my highest endorsement and recommendation for Dr. Brad Cohen and his staff. Dr. Cohen has the gift of being very candid and instantly instilling confidence in his patients. I had debated for years with double, total knee replacement. Dr. Cohen candidly informed me that if I did not proceed, I would be prematurely in a wheelchair. I am delighted to be totally healed, walking normally and pain free with his surgery success and after care! Several of my friends have had surgery with Dr. Cohen and were also delighted with his surgery success and care.

I first saw Dr. Cohen in 2010, for a total knee replacement. I was impressed with his skill, attention to detail and the level of communication he provided to help me understand and feel comfortable with the procedure. Based on the the positive results, I returned eleven years to have the same procedure performed on the other knee and once again was very pleased with the entire experience and the resulting outcome. Dr. Cohen and his staff tended to my every need and instilled a degree of confidence in me such that I would provide the highest recommendation possible to anyone seeking the services he provides.

A have had 2 joint replacements with Dr. Cohen as my surgeon. I cannot have been happier with the results of both operations. He is very easy to converse with, to ask questions of, and is clear and honest. He and his staff made the whole experience quite easy (and that's saying a lot for such an operation). I feel he is very concerned about and interested in his patients and in doing whatever is best for them in his incomparable wisdom. I felt from my first appointment to my last follow-up that I was getting wonderful care and was in the best hands I could be in, allowing me to focus on what I needed to do without worry. Thank you, Dr. Cohen!

My daughter is a top junior tennis player in the nation. She torn her lateral meniscus during her training. Dr. Cohen had a quick and accurate diagnosis based on MRI (which was verified by 2nd opinion), arranged and performed surgery within a week. He explained to us all the risks and possible outcomes. The surgery was a complete success. My daughter was able to walk without pain in a week. After PT for a week, she got all her range back, and started playing tennis in 4 weeks without any pain at all. I have no doubt that she will be back to the top junior/pro level soon. Dr. Cohen is very professional, caring, and extremely experienced. I highly recommend him.
