This review is for an arm with trauma. A true professional on all aspects. Easy to talk to, bedside manner, skill, takes time with explanations, follow up, scheduling, no office wait time and most important - results!

My daughter (who has special needs) cut the tip of her finger off severing her tendons. If not for Doctor Volshteyn she would have lost the tip. We are low income and have NJ familycare insurance that he doesn't take, but he saved her finger and did her surgery for free. He is an amazing and kindhearted doctor. I thank God for him all the time.

I recently had my eyelids lifted by Dr. Volshteyn. I'm not that old, but my eyelids were sagging and it was difficult to put eye shadow on and I was looking tired. All of my friends told me that I was crazy, but Dr. Volshteyn saw my concern and was able to do a conservative lift and I am SOOOO HAPPY. Everyone not tells me that I look refreshed, what did I do? I laugh and say, I had my lids lifted!!!! YEAH ME!!! His staff was great and helped me make a great informed decision. Thank you!!!

Refusing to treat a child while on call at Riverview Medical Center!? Refusing to treat same child the next day because you don't take his insurance!? Disgusting!!
in Holmdel, NJ |
Explained the procedure and the pros and cons. Left the decision to me. Very very easy to talk to, no pushing to do the procedure. The procedure turned out exactly like he said. Really happy !!!

Dr Volshteyn provides personable and attentive care close to 100 patient without insurance or with substandard coverage every year. Many of them are kids.  Commonly, he gets called in when other doctors refuse, even when he is not on call. You received professional and proper emergent care at a hospital and were asked to be seen by us in follow up.  Your insurance company on previous occasions instructed us that they do not recognize ER referrals and as this was not an emergent matter, you are required to be seen by your primary care first. As required by State of New Jersey, we provide new patients with information about our office participation or non-participation status in advance and in order to avoid misunderstanding later on.  However, we do not refuse to see a patient because of insurance.  When our office staff was instructing the caller what to do and to bring for appointment if they wanted to avoid out of pocket costs, the caller refused to listen to our staff as they wanted to be seen on their terms.  We thrive to provide the best possible care to all of our patients with compassion, personalized attention and in many cases we go out of our way to help people beyond what is commonly required. We do not refuse to see the patient just based on insurance coverage, adult or child.  However, our staff was not even given an opportunity to complete the introduction before the caller decided to hung up.
