Dr. Grigorescu also served as an Attending Physician in the Division of Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of California Los Angeles, Dr. Grigorescu received his Doctorate in Medicine with Honors from University College Dublin School of Medicine in Dublin, Ireland. He did his Internship in Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and he completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Grigorescu went on to complete a three-year fellowship in Urogynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women's Health. Dr. Grigorescu is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Urogynecologic Association, the International Continence Society and the International Urogynecological Association. He has published articles on Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery in several prestigious journals, including American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, International Urogynecology Journal, Journal of Pelvic Medicine and Surgery, and Journal of Reproductive Medicine. the best doctor you will ever be blessed to come across and have. not only is he caring and unbelievable but has the best bedside manner you will ever come across. he saw me prior my surgery and saw me 2 other times in recovery. easiest doctor to speak personal issues with. when you come into the office he not only shakes your hand but takes a long time to discuss your case and even involves family members. I just cant stop raving about dr g. he is the biggest asset to Winthrop.

Dr. Grigorescu completed his Internship in Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and he completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same institution. Dr. Grigorescu went on to complete a three-year fellowship in Urogynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women's Health. 

Dr. Grigorescu has expertise in minimally invasive surgery for urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse (vaginal and uterine prolapse - vagina or uterus protruding outside vagina).

He also treats women with symptoms of overactive bladder (urinary urgency, frequency, pain with urination, urge urinary incontinence).

Dr. Grigorescu also treats women with chronic interstitial cystitis (painful bladder syndrome) and women with levator tension myalgia and pain with intercourse.

Dr. Grigorescu has expertise with minimally invasive techniques treating uterine and vaginal prolapse, with DaVinci hysterectomy and sacrocolpopexy, uterosacral vaginal suspension. 

He also performs non-invasive vaginal prolapse surgery, vaginal hysterectomy, sacrospinous vaginal suspension, and slings for stress urinary incontinence (leaking urine with activity, or cough, sneeze, laugh, etc)

Dr. Grigorescu performs in-office treatment with stress urinary incontinence with minimally invasive urethral bulking. 

He also performs treatments for refractory urge urinary incontinence with Botox bladder treatment, Interstim neuromodulation, and posterior tibial nerve stimulation (acupuncture-like technique). 

Dr. Grigorescu does not perform controversial or experimental vaginal mesh procedures for pelvic organ prolapse. However, if you had surgery for vaginal prolapse or incontinence with mesh and you experience pain, discomfort, vaginal erosion or exposure of the mesh, he will assess if you can have the mesh removed to relieve your discomfort.
