Dr. Grigorescu is the Associate Director of the Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery. He is Board Certified in Urogynecology and he completed a Board Certified Fellowship in Urogynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. Dr. Grigorescu joined Winthrop University Hospital from positions as Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Tufts University – Maine Medical Center, in Portland, Maine, and formerly Assistant Professor at Weil Cornell Medical College and New York Hospital Queens in Flushing, NY. Dr. Grigorescu also served as an Attending Physician in the Division of Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of California Los Angeles, Dr. Grigorescu received his Doctorate in Medicine with Honors from University College Dublin School of Medicine in Dublin, Ireland. He did his Internship in Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and he completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Grigorescu went on to complete a three-year fellowship in Urogynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women's Health. Dr. Grigorescu is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Urogynecologic Association, the International Continence Society and the International Urogynecological Association. He has published articles on Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery in several prestigious journals, including American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, International Urogynecology Journal, Journal of Pelvic Medicine and Surgery, and Journal of Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Grigorescu received the Best Science Project Award at the 2006 International Urogynecological Association meeting in Athens, Greece. Dr. Grigorescu is fluent in Italian, Romanian, and Spanish
