Well no greeting, had this I could care less attitude, looked sloppy, didn’t show me XRays taken, made decision that it was arthritis because I am old (84), ordered foot attachment. Only time he seemed a little interest was when I told him the name of the doctor that operated on me, he knew him. Spent 5 minutes with me, and walked out with this Who Cares attitude. I won’t go back. He wants to see me in 3 months, no way. My general physician recommended him, I will let her know my review. Will find my own ankle doctor.

The worst. Forget the fact that it was 90 minutes after my appointment time, I sat in the exam room and heard him dress down a client on the phone. Loud, obnoxious and rude. He spent five minutes with me, hardly looked at my foot, did not look me in the eye and gave me a canned speech that was totally unsatisfactory. Understand I have used this group for knee surgery, broken bones, exams, etc. and have had nothing but a good experience. I never write these types of reviews but seeing him was a complete waste of time. The other reviewers commenting on his bedside manner and Desko led looks was pitiful. I now have to do this all over again. Not with this doctor.

Dr. Olson is by far the best ankle and foot surgeon that I have ever had. He diagnosed an entangled nerve in 10 minutes that I had been suffering with for ten years. After surgery I was pain free and walking without any mobility devices. He also found a severe fracture in the calcaneous that I had suffered with for 5 years and was told by several other doctors that it was a sprained ankle. His P.A. is also the best , Kate Eden Is caring and compassionate. I am so blessed to have found this team and would highly recommend this practice thank you

My daughter had surgery on her ankle yesterday that involved 2 plates and 10 screws. He was very focused and to the point but polite and helpful. The hospital staff was very nice and professional. The facility itself was new and clean. He has called us twice since yesterday to make sure we were doing ok since he has to leave town tomorrow. Some people do not like his bedside manner but I liked him very much and really appreciate his focus and knowledge. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ohlson came highly recommended. He assessed the situation from information from a podiatrist, and made his recommendation for me to have surgery done on my foot. His staff was pleasant, did what they said they would, and followed up when necessary. I am still healing as I type this, but I think things went very well...like a well-oiled machine. To those who say he was arrogant, I must disagree. I'm not going to the doctor to hear comedy routines, I'm there to get professional opinions. He gave me his, we proceeded and I believe it's going to be a success. His whole staff was great.

Dr. Ohlson treated me for a bad ankle injury while I was visiting Charleston. The injury happened a few months before I visited Charleston but he still worked me in the same day I called and continued to help provide me great care once I was back in New York. He called the doctor treating me in New York just to make sure they were providing the same treatment he recommended. I was much more comfortable with him then the doctor I saw in New York so I was so appreciative he was still in charge of my care and so open to communicating with them since I didn't even need surgery. I'm doing great now and owe it all to the visit I had with him while I was there and his continued involvement in my treatment. Have even recommended him to other people that live in New York, worth the trip!!

Phenomenal and thorough care. Dr. Ohlson fully explained my injury and the surgery that was needed. He answered all of my questions and spent more than enough time with me. I had a tibia fracture just below my knee that needed to be fixed and could cause arthritis of my knee. At 72 I have been playing tennis and golf and going to Orange Theory on a regular basis without any knee issues. Dr. Ohlson operated on me within a few days after returning from my ski trip. He even offered to do the surgery on a Sunday right after I got home to South Carolina. I highly recommend Dr. Ohlson and am so thankful he was able to take care of me. I am doing great and couldn't be happier with my care.

I have never met a more unprofessional, arrogant, rude Doctor in my entire life. I was referred by my GP after having a complicated experience with another surgeon. In 35.5 weeks I underwent 3 surgeries and spent 21 unable to walk. I came prepared with photos, timelines, surgical notes, & medical records. He burst into the room without even introducing himself and proceeded to tell me tuff Luck, that there is NO PROOF that PT works. Don't even think I will regain feeling in my foot cause I won't. I explained that the PT likely helped because I was immobil for so long and he sarcastically said, " well you seem to have a lot of the answers". I am a well informed patient that is simply looking for a new Dr. to follow my foot health. He was unkempt, ill informed, & condescending. His inability to be civil & unprofessional was embarrassing for the assistant as well as Roper as a whole. I would rather travel 1000 miles before I would even consider seeing this horrible man.

It was very short and to the point. He addressed the injury, made a diagnosis and recommended a procedure that did not involve surgery.

Dr. Ohlson is an incredible surgeon. You cannot be sensitive to his quiet nature--it has nothing to do with your treatment. Dr. Ohlson has performed a total knee replacement and also done a Cartiva implant on my great toe. I am totally mobile now because of him. I have spent countless years wasting my time going to doctors who just kept me coming back, but not relieving my pain. I would recommend Dr. Ohlson to anyone and have offered to be a counselor to anyone who is afraid to have surgery

I wouldn’t recommend this doctor to anyone!!! This dr literally came in the room and spent less that a minute with me, he never looked at my injury he never asked what or how it happened he told me I will be doing therapy and see him in 6 weeks! I used my PTO to come to this appointment which I waited for almost an hr , just to be told I’m doing therapy .. He could’ve told me this over the phone!! He has ZERO bedside manners ZERO compassion ZERO sympathy. I felt like I was being brushed off.!

I would never refer anyone to this guy. It was obvious from the time he walked into the room he couldn’t be bothered by seeing patients. Zero bedside manner, no greeting , not receptive to what I had to say, was in a hurry to get out of the room as soon as he walked in. I was at the office almost two hours and saw this guy for a total of two minutes.

I waited 2 hours. Once he came in, he was quite cold. I had to ask him to look at the area. He did very little education on the issue. I have heard he is a great surgeon. I can’t speak of that since I haven’t had surgery. He will not be anyway. If you like to the point, no sympathy and cold then he’s the one for you.

Worst physician I've ever encountered. I have worked with him in the professional setting and have been a patient. He has changed dramatically in his bedside manner in that it doesn't exist. He wants to spend as little or no time with the pt, nor explaining anything to a family member. If a procedure ends up being more difficult or complicated than the amount of time he anticipates, things are rushed, & in the end, couple years later, the outcome unacceptable.

He’s not current on the methods, procedures, and surgeries for his field. I came to him for a plantar plate tear and during surgery, he failed to even address the tear. After two second opinions, I required a second surgery to fix his mistakes and to repair the plantar plate tear. Plantar plate tear surgery has been around for at least seven years yet he did not offer nor perform the correct surgery. His bedside manner is horrible and he looked like a slob with a dirty lab coat and greasy hair
