DR. DAVE SAVED MY LIFE!!! I first saw Dr. Dave two years ago after she was recommended by my cardiologist for weight loss. I had been overweight most of my life, and although I tried every weight loss program available, I couldn’t not lose weight and keep it off. With Dr. Dave’s help, I was able to lose 65 pounds and have kept it off, which is a miracle in itself. However, while seeing Dr. Dave for weight loss, I was impressed by her expertise, thoroughness, depth of knowledge, caring attitude, and responsiveness, all admirable qualities which were not always demonstrated by my own GP. I finally decided to make her my primary care physician, and thank goodness I did! She ordered a routine blood test as part of my annual physical which showed some higher-than-normal liver readings. I told her this happened occasionally because I had been diagnosed with a benign condition which caused this, but she insisted I see a specialist to be on the safe side. The specialist ordered a sonogram which showed that my liver was fine, BUT it also showed a large mass which turned out to be a malignant tumor on my kidney for which I had no symptoms!! I have since had the tumor removed and I am now cancer-free. However, if Dr. Dave had listened to me and not insisted I see a specialist, I believe the cancer would have spread and I could be dead now or well on my way to it. Dr. Dave saved my life. If you’re looking for a GOOD DOCTOR, look no further. She could save your life, too.

Took her 3 weeks to call me with bloodwork results, and 4 days after a CT to let me know I had to see a heart doctor. I would not recommend her to anyone. No bedside manners!

A positive healthier life style experience
Dr. Dave works in the same practice as my cardiologist and I was very interested in what I read and her theory of “Make Food Thy Medicine”. First visit she took the time to listen, understand current habits along with my frustrations. Had great conversation and she sent me away with a ton of great information, some basics, great recipes and homework to keep a food journal daily. Her big #1 was to only eat between 10am – 6pm and see her in a month. Needless to say in a month with her instruction I was on my way and already down 10lbs. Dr Dave and staff are extremely friendly, make you feel comfortable. Dr Dave has empowered me to take charge of my life with both eating habits and exercise. I continue to meet with her every few months to catch up and share my excitement with my healthier lifestyle. Im now excited about mud runs, skydiving and new recipe ideas she may have. Not only have I moved to 90% plant based, my family has also made the switch and enjoying the benefits.

Successful Weight Loss Story
After several years of not feeling well and upset that I couldn’t lose weight (in my mid 50’s), Dr. Dave was recommended to me by my gastroenterologist. When I got to her office I was treated by a great team. Everyone there makes you feel comfortable and are all extremely friendly. Dr. Dave supplied me with a ton of great information, resources and options to help me through my weight loss journey. She has met with me every month and empowers me to take control of my own health. I would highly recommend Dr. Dave. She is very friendly and professional. I’ve lost over 45 pounds and will continue my weight loss journey with her until I reach my goal.

overbilling/ unprofessional
I was billed 400 for initial visit and an extra 75 for smoking cessation. This doctor open the door and said I don't give out control substances. Wow, assuming that is why a patient is there. She said all my medications are garbage and that is why I am going stomach problems. She advised me to eat lentils. SHe had no idea about my mental health issues and I actually was diagnosed with a stomach disorder. She said stop smoking and sent scripts to pharmacy which were not covered. Shaming a patient is a shameful doctor. WHat a waste of money and time. No medical knowledge and had back towards me most the time. This is an example of a horrible doctor billing high prices for no services.

Beginning my weight loss journey
I've had three weekly visits with Dr. Dave and couldn't be more pleased. To date I have lost 9 pounds but more importantly have begun to make very positive lifestyle changes which I hope will become habits. Dr. Dave has been extremely knowledgeable, understanding and encouraging. She has been thoroughly professional at each of my visits with her and she has armed me with the knowledge and concepts I need to be successful in changing my eating and exercise habits. Though she is encouraging and supportive she has also corrected me when needed and clearly communicates the food/quantity boundaries within which I should to remain if I am to be successful. Additionally, Dr. Dave has helped me address some joint and muscular issues I am having as a result of other medical issues I have had over the past four years. I am extremely pleased with my weight loss progress and have complete trust in Dr. Dave.

Just a regular doctor with no exceptional characteristics. Doesn't want to spend enough time. She made me book an appointment for pap smear test which is a routine check-up if I see my gynecologist. But she charged me an office visit for it. She wanted me to book a follow-up visit after the pap smear for which I would be charged another office visit. I had routine blood work done which she also messed up by sending the wrong CPT code and I was billed by Quest Diagnostics for my annual blood work. The office assistant is not ready to understand my situation and kept saying that I have to pay the bills. Ridiculous experience with this doctor and the staff. Wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

I have been a patient with Dr. Dave for so many years. She is the best doctor, so patient, so kind and caring. Always looking out for the my health, and best interest. With her experience and advice I was able to loose weight in order to avoid taking any unnecessary medications. Allowing me to live a healthier life. Started in March to loose weight, with strict regimented portions and exercising was able to loose 20 pounds by the end of April. She gave me the tools I needed to begin a healthier chapter in my life, and that is absolutely priceless.

I have been seeing Dr. Bijal Dave through the years at her Cedar Knolls office (she has other office locations). She is wonderful! She is a very friendly, caring and compassionate physician who truly listens. She is easy to talk to, makes you feel comfortable, and communicates very clearly, not in complicated medical terms! Definitely very knowledgeable and stays up to date on all the important areas in her field! For the first time in so many years, I finally found a physician that I can trust as my primary care physician!

Dr. Dave was recommended to me in May and I've been seeing her ever since. I wasn't sure if we were the right fit at my first appointment, but kept an open mind. Each visit I got more comfortable with her and trusted her guidance. Now I am a very satisfied patient and really appreciate her knowledge and support helping me lose over 20 pounds. I have been to 2 of her offices and the staff at both are very friendly. So happy she's my doctor now!
