After a few visits over a year with Dr. Parmar, I now have a pretty good understanding of what is going on, and how to treat my condition over the longer term. Dr. Parmar listened over several visits, gave my options and recommendations, and followed through over the year. That's exactly what I wanted and needed.

I had only one visit with Dr. Parmar. I was not impressed. It was extremely difficult to get the appointment. The women who make the appointments do not seem compassionate or caring at all. I was in distress with chest pains, and they did not seem to care. When I finally got into Dr. Parmar, he seemed very dismissive and uncaring. My EKG was fine and after a couple questions he determined it was not a heart issue. He did a super fast check with his stethoscope, and then proceeded to tell me to go home and take Advil and use Voltaren cream on my chest. I was very taken aback with the fact that I was telling him about chest pains, and he didn't have any suggestions except Advil and arthritis cream??? Needless to say I pushed for a stress test and will not be returning to this doctor.

You’re guaranteed to wait for your appointment - he will be late, but that’s because he takes the time to explain what’s going on, what your options are, what he recommends, what your concerns are, and then put a plan together. I’m happy to wait for that.

I've only had one visit with Dr. Parmar so far and was not impressed. He was very dismissive of my other medical conditions and seemed rushed. In short order, based on an ekg, said I have no heart problem but did not address the massive body swelling that my P.C. Dr said was the result of a minor heart attack. Said he would schedule an echo cardiogram just to be safe. I waited 7 months for a brief uninformed accomplish nothing appointment!

We did a Zoom visit. He sat in front of a window so I could only see his outline. I felt that he didn't take me seriously as when he first joined me he asked how I had managed to get an appointment with him, even though my medical notes would have told him the emergency doctor told me to see him. He didn't acknowledge until the very end of our brief visit that I had concerns. Rather, he kept saying my heart was fine since the EKG didn't reveal any problems He didn't answer my questions, but in the end told me I didn't need a stress test, but that he would order one just to make me feel better. I am not sure why he was so uncaring. He is probably very stressed at dealing with the Corona Virus situation.
