Bernard A. Feigenbaum, M.D. is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine and Otolaryngology at New York University School of Medicine. He is Board-Certified, and has over seventeen years of clinical and teaching experience as an adult and pediatric Allergy & Immunology specialist. Dr. Feigenbaum has given presentations about Professionalism in Medicine for the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has lectured at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Columbia University, Hospital for Special Surgery, Hospital for Joint Diseases, NYU Langone Medical Center, and the NYC Department of Health. He is passionate about improving state-of-the-art Allergy & Immunology medical care and is known for his friendly, caring manner, his professionalism and for his teaching skills. Dr. Feigenbaum has been a Principal Investigator at NYU Langone Medical Center, and recently published a translational study regarding mycotoxins in chronic rhinosinusitis. He has 15 articles, abstracts and/or letters published regarding: aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD; Samter's triad); chemotherapy and monoclonal desensitization; chronic rhinosinusitis; reflux in asthma; bee sting allergy; vocal cord dysfunction; and nitric oxide in asthma. He is a peer reviewer for the Annals of Internal Medicine and the Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology and currently serves on national committees of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. His practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Food Allergies including: celiac disease/gluten intolerance; eosinophilic esophagitis Drug Allergies including: penicillin allergy; anaphylaxis; peanut, tree nut, wheat and soy allergies Respiratory Allergies including: allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and asthma; chronic cough; acute and chronic sinusitis and other allergic diseases. Dr. Feigenbaum is one of the few allergists in California who routinely performs consultations and penicillin allergy testing on hospitalized patients, and who has experience and publications regarding drug desensitization to aspirin, chemotherapy and "biologics." Dr. Feigenbaum has been featured on air as a medical expert on Allergic Diseases on: Good Morning America Sirius Radio CBS News Radio The Rachael Ray Show Dr. Feigenbaum has also been quoted in the NY Daily News, Los Angeles Times and other print media.
