Dr. Yang's Care Philosophy

I believe in treating patients on an individual basis. While there are known disease processes and patterns, every patient's experience of their condition is different. Conservative management is always considered if it is safe to defer or avoid surgery. If surgery is necessary, I will offer a range of options including the most up-to-date minimally-invasive techniques. I strive to respond to patients' concerns promptly, and I speak to my patients directly.

Chicago, IL |
I had herniated discs at L-4 L-5 and L-5 S-1. Through the entire process I felt Dr. Yang was a salesman, trying to sell me his surgery and promising that it would fix my pain. I denied all pain killers and surgeries. I did physical therapy for 6 weeks instead. Couple months go by and I heal pretty well, and I come back with the MRI. He has the nerve to bring up doing surgery again saying that without it, I may live my life like a cripple and it may never heal. Today I am near 100% healed.
