What People Say About Dr. Bennett Lavenstein, MD
Reply
We found him too eager to prescribe our son with serious medications without being open to exploring other options. When we suggested a less serious medication, he became defensive and arrogant. We went to another neurologist after that. Be very careful about seeking help from him for your child. Get a second opinion. There are too many good doctors in this area. At least with us, he was very eager to prescribe medicines with terrible side effects.

This doctor is arrogant, patronizing, unresponsive, and downright dangerous. He plays psychiatrist and prescribes medications without adhering to standard protocol (e.g., you do not just stop one drug and start a different one from one day to the next). It takes a crisis (caused by his own making) to get him to actually review imaging results and contact you. For conditions that he apparently has experience treating, he also does not follow standard protocol. The child suffers as a result.
