I had a complete rotator cuff tear & chose Dr. Zellner because he was "the hand to shoulder specialist" at OSMS. I had surgery to repair it Sept 2019. Had to wear an ill-fitting shoulder immobilizer for 6 weeks. After 2 months of PT, I still couldn't raise my arm. When I expressed concern, I was told my muscles were weak because I hadn't used them in a long time. Finally, I insisted on an MRI, which showed the surgery had failed. He told me that my bones were soft and that it was difficult to anchor the screws in it. He said that in a surgical revision, he'd use stronger anchors. 2nd surgery in Dec. Immobilizer for 8 weeks. And after more PT, still no improvement and he gave the same excuse. I finally consulted another surgeon, who told me right away that the 2nd surgery had also failed, adding that 50% of revisions do. He did a reverse shoulder replacement with excellent results. Dr. Zellner was not honest with me about risks or results. Do not recommend him.

I had soreness in my right wrist and numbness in my index finger and thumb after about five minutes when I used my mouse on the computer or drove my car. In the past I had surgery two different times on both wrists for carpal tunnel where tendons pressed on wrist/hand nerves. Dr. Zellner did the same.

I am extremely satisfied with the care I received from Dr. Zellner and the staff (Angie especially) at OSMS. I had been dealing with an injury and other providers, for over a year prior to seeking help from Dr. Zellner. Finally getting relief and healing after so long was definitely worth the 3 hour one way travel time. Both the doctor himself and his staff truly made us feel like they cared about my treatment and healing process.

Tragically bad. He did not look at X-ray long enough to see that he never fixed the broken bone. He claimed his work was perfect. He claimed his work was done. Dr. Papandrea had a very difficult time to fix his shoddy work (highlights from the third surgery done by Sr Papandrea included a bone graft from my iliac crest, a detachment of the lunar nerve, manually breaking the capitulum- a word that was misspelled in Zellner’s surgical notes, and putting an impressive amount of hardware into my arm). Additional problems from Zellner’s mistreatment of me include frozen shoulder, inability to supinate my hand, extreme back problems, pain in my leg from the bone graft, extreme weight gain, and unrelenting anger towards Zellner, Dr. Linehan for his incredible ill fated recommendation, and Dr. Linehan’s sister and my cousin’s wife. If they can’t even treat family with respect, why would you go to someone like Zellner?

I broker my wrist in August after falling off of a ladder. From the surgery through the after care, Dr. Zellner, Angie, his nurse and all of the staff at OSMS were second to none. My wrist is doing great thanks to the excellent care I received from Dr.Zellner! If you ever find you are need of an Orthopedic consult or care, I highly recommend OSMS! Thank-you, Dr. Zellner for putting me back together!!

I am grateful for the kind and compassionate care I received before, during and now after my shoulder surgery. Dr. Zellner and his great staff were like my "angels" taking such great care of me. I felt as though I was the only patient there. Thank you to each and everyone of you. May God richly bless each and everyone of you. Know that your great care has made a huge impact on me and my recovery. P. S. I also need to include the Physical Therapy department.

Explained options ok. We made a decision to to amputate based on risk for infection , functionality and successful healing. No x-ray was taken. I went to get a second opinion after being uneasy with Zellners confidence. The second Dr at another provider took an x -ray and told me that the bone was alligned and no surgery was required beyond possible cosmetic alterations to the nail-bed. Second Dr was confident and obviously had years of experience. I was refered to 2nd Dr by 1st Drs staff!
