Dr Assaf is a wonderful Dr. He cares for my mother and was the first Dr to say we aren’t dealing with Parkinson’s here. Sent my mom to Mayo and he was right she had Progreasive Supra Nuclear Palsy. Would highly recommend.

I had an appointment to see Dr. Aassaf I never got to see. I was screened by a nurse, asking the usual questions. Told me the doctor would be in soon and that they had a student there and and asked if it would be ok if the said student came in too. Yes no problem for me standard procedure... ask...doctor comes in and introduces himself and the student and usually asks again if that was ok with the patient.....BUT!!!!... not this time. Student...no doctor at all... comes in.... no introduction of who she is and starts asking me questions some of which I already answered over and over again in paperwork and by the nurse. I asked who she was oh she is a student. Student is examining me.Where’s a doctor ? Then says the doctor will be right in but here she(student)came back with more tests for what?Doctor please! PA comes?Where’s the doctor? 3 hours there.3 MRIs ordered and blood tests it’s been 1 month later still no results. Numerous calls. Left messages with office mgr. No replies

I saw some negative reviews about Dr. Assaf that I just do NOT understand. Dr. Bassam Asssaf is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and caring. His staff is excellent in every way and well. I couldn't ask for better care in dealing with my problem. Dr. Assaf really was thinking "outside the box" in calling for tests to get to a solution. He thought of things no one else had brought up. He was extremely thorough in determining the cause of the problem. I would recommend him to anyone dealing with neurological issues. Again, this review is about Dr. Bassam Assaf in Moline. I have a caption at the top of the page that refers to a Dr. Taylor. I don't know who he is, and I started the review by looking up Dr. Assaf on this site. His picture and address came up, and I started my review under Dr. Assaf's I.D.

I waited with a family member for over an hour to be seen. We left the office and 2 weeks later had not been scheduled for testing. The Dr. left the room several times to take phone calls. He also didn't have a mask on when in the room with us not did he wash his hands before examining my father. The staff was dressed in appropriately for an office. The receptionist was rude to my father. The bathroom was disgusting during a time when the entire office should be extremely clean.

Dr. Assaf cares deeply about his patients' well-being and comfort. I found his professionalism, medical skills, emotional support, reassurance, kindheartedness, and compassion to be unparalleled. He is definitely one of the most gracious and understanding physicians I know. Not only did he listen to my concerns, but he also made me feel valued and respected. He and his hardworking staff were always ready to answer questions and work me into the schedule in order to meet my medical needs. I feel very lucky to have found such a brilliant physician whose skills are simply the BEST of the BEST!

I waited an hour and fifteen minutes in the exam room. Then when he finally came in First question he asked was what insurance I had. Then he asked me a couple of questions that I had already answered on the lengthy questionnaire i had filed out. He asked me if I knew why I was losing my balance and falling down. I told him that was why I was there to find out why He seemed totally disinterested and ordered tests I had already had. I think I spent about 15 minutes with him

Dr. Assaf is by far the best doctor I have ever met. I struggled with undiagnosed, unmedicated myasthenia gravis for 2 years after receiving no help from the many doctors I had seen, no one could tell me what was wrong with me. Dr. Assaf was the first doctor to actually examine me, spend time learning and talking with me, and was extremely helpful. He mentioned myasthenia gravis within 5 mins of my first appointment, prescribed me the correct medication and I had relief within hours of leaving his office, after years of struggling. I went from not being able to walk, to being in remission within 4 months thanks to Dr. Assaf. I truly believe this doctor saved me, when every other doctor I had seen had let me down. His staff is very nice, the nurses, Dr. Assaf & the nurse practitioner are all amazing, great listeners that really sit down and take the time to help you.

Dr. Assaf has taken care of my elderly father on two separate occasions. On both occasions he was suffering from extremely serious medical problems and at the emergency room including the ICU. He took time from his personal life to come to the hospital to attend to my father. I can honestly say he was the ONLY DOCTOR who showed a personal interest in my father's well being and the ONLY DOCTOR who provided prompt follow up care. My father might not be with us today but for his involvement.

I highly recommend Dr. Assaf. My experience with Dr. Assaf is above and beyond my expectations. Dr. Assaf is always knowledgeable of the latest research - the positives, negatives and details of the available medicines and how the medicines may affect the patient - very complete with testing and most of all concerned with what works the best for the patient. I am also impressed with Dr. Assaf's concern and activeness in knowing the patients family.

Dr Assaf was very professional. He provided my daughter with the greatest care. He also was willing to explain and listen to my concerns as well. He went above and beyond to make sure all measures were taken to make sure we could find answer to my daughters problem. He ordered efficient testing and proper referrals. I was very happy with him and his staffs service.

First time going there was a Tina of paperwork which is hard when you are there for hand numbness, waited about 30 min just to sit in a room and do more paperwork and wait another 30 min for the "student" to come in, then another 30 min and the doctor came in. He kept leaving the room to get more papers. At the end he told me I needed a sleep study. Very unorganized and I still have no answering for my numbness. Office staff seemed to work hard and was polite under the craziness nuts

I read some of the comments, and I think they were not very fare to him. I think some people do not care for him because of his bed side manner. He cares about his profession, and his patients. He is not your friend he is your doctor! I wanted this procedure for about 10 years. I had no luck getting it done with the others I seen, He got it done in about 6 months. I highly recommend him. You can tell his staff and he is all about patient satisfaction.
