I visited Dr. Pate's office multiple times in 2017, and it seems like Dr. Pate doesn't want to take action for his patients. His office requires you to make an appointment for everything and the only thing he seems to do on those appointments is to refer you to another office. I believe he just wants to collect for office visits where he actually does zero work. After a three month process of visiting Dr. Pate and the other offices that he referred me to, no plan of action had been put in place.

The office is not particularly nice. Indeed, one might think that Pate is not a very successful physician given the state of his office. The receptionist is very slow and not very outgoing. I would say that Pate is competent, but he doesn't appear to listen (at least he didn't provide a verbal acknowledgement of information I offered him). I'd go to him again, albeit somewhat reluctantly.
