I was experiencing difficulty swallowing which is very disturbing and uncomfortable. New to Mt. Airy I asked a neighbor for a referral and she suggested Dr. Ellis. The staff was professional, compassionate and accommodating when I called to schedule an appointment. When Dr. Ellis examined my throat he gave me a diagnosis and corse of treatment. Now I am nearly symptom free. With a bit more time I should be 100% better. My experience with Dr. Ellis and his staff has been healing and comforting. I will certainly recommend Dr. Ellis and continue to trust his practice with my health concerns.

I trust Dr. Ellis completely. He is honest and does not try to scare you or coddle you either. His bedside manner is comforting because you know he will only tell you truth. He has never forgotten anything about me and my families procedures and care. He is always open and available for questions, seeing them as a good indicator of your involvement and understanding of your condition and the care you will recieve. Dr. Ellis actually, literally, saved my life AND the lives of my HUSBAND, one of my DAUGHTERS and one of my SONS too. He took on 4 very different and very complicated patients and procedures. 1. About the largest and decaying tonsils and adnoids he'd every seen(nearly septic) 2. The largest tonsils/adnoids cutting off air in a child that were healthy but still growing. 3.The discovery of deadly high BP during radical sinus/ rhinoplasty(now safely controlled) 4.A 90% thyroidectomy of one that pushed against the heart and lungs slowly suffocating me.(no meds, all good)#1 Doc

Dr. Ellis is by far the BEST ENT!! I had sinus surgery two years ago which was the best decision I’ve ever made. I no longer have headaches, sinus issues and I can finally sleep and breathe! It has really changed my life! Dr. Ellis and his staff are so kind and caring. Every time I go in for an appointment I feel very welcomed and taken great care of. I could easily visit an ENT where I live, but I’d rather travel 50 minutes to see the BEST! Thank you all for taking great care of me! Your hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed.

Hands down, Dr Ellis is the best provider I've had a visit with in a long time. I work in healthcare myself and can see a vast difference in the time and care this particular doctor puts into his practice. He sat down with me, personally performed my CT scan, then explained every detail patiently. We then made a plan and I am happy to say my problem may very well be solved within a month. Very happy to have met this ENT MD. His nurse Patty is also very helpful and knowledgeable.

"I've got multiple health problems and lung and heart failure. Dr. Ellis did a tracheotomy on me and it has saved my life. Dr. Ellis has been there for me in thick and thin. He even came in to meet me in the office a few Sunday's ago from his Sunday School class to check the tube. I can HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ellis and his MAENTA team as the best anywhere. They are not only EXCELLENT in ENT care but truly super caring."
