Dr. Hansen's bio
This content was provided by Dr. Hansen "Raised in WI as the fifth of 11 children I attended UW Madison undergrad before joining the Peace Corp in Swaziland where I worked for 4 years before returning to Madison to obtain my M.D. I finished my Internal Medicine Residency in Columbus Oh after marrying my husband, Michael Cohen M.D, a Peripheral Vascular Surgeon. We then moved to Orlando in 1986 and I took a year off to spend with our firstborn child. I worked at Apopka Family Health Center for 4 years to pay off my government grant for med school and had a second child. I established the in-house Clinic for employees of Harris Rosen at his Rosen Hotels. I started doing sclerotherapy in 2000 at VSCF in my husband's office and added other treatments over the years. We both left there in 2011 and are now semi-retired, but volunteer at Grace Medical Home. We enjoy spending traveling and spend most of the summer at our cabin in western NC. I am also a Consultant with Rodan Fields Skin Care."
