B. Judson Colley III M.D., M.P.H. is a board certified adult cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist, specializing in heart rhythm disorders. He joins Jackson Heart Clinic and Mississippi from his home state of Alabama. Dr. Colley completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He then went on to pursue a Master of Public Health and Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Colley completed UAB's Tinsley Harris Internal Medicine residency program. Following residency, Dr. Colley completed a cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Colley brings with him extensive experience in treating heart rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation, SVT and other arrhythmias. He also specializes in the implant and follow-up of pacemakers and defibrillators. Since joining Jackson Heart Clinic in 2009, Dr. Colley has performed over 1,000 ablations for complex heart rhythm disorders. He employs the latest modalities and uses the most up-to-date tool sets for catheter ablation.
Dr. Colley is actively involved with clinical research at Jackson Heart Clinic. He is currently the Principal Investigator on many important trials.
Dr. Colley serves on the Mississippi Heart and Vascular Institute Board as the Complex Arrhythmia Director. He also belongs to the Heart Rhythm Society, American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association and the Mississippi State Medical Association. Dr. Colley lectures on heart rhythm disorders in Jackson and the surrounding communities.
