Knee pain
I saw Dr. Barrett as a second opinion on a recent procedure I had done. He was so kind and attentive to everything I had to say or ask. After leaving the visit I knew that he was going to take very good care of my needs.

Dr. Barrett was a wonderful listener and spent a lot of time with me trying to figure out what was going on with my hip. Hopefully I won’t have to see him again, but if so, I have full confidence that he will be able to help me with further treatment

Unfortunately I had two accidents on one leg and everything that seemed impossible turned out to be a great outcome. Not once did I feel like I wasn’t in good hands with Dr. Barrett and Dr. Lawin. They are professional and are extremely helpful in giving me the knowledge I needed in my experience. Every visit was different and I healed up properly as I followed their instructions. It was not easy but please listen to what they expect you to do so you will get better and stay on track of the healing process. They met every need I had. I’m grateful to be able to walk again, to what look impossible from the start, I had two great surgeons that never let me down. MS Sports Medicine is such a great state of the art facility. I’ve made new friends during each of my visits and the staff are always friendly. 6 months out and time is now enduring as I continuously become stronger. Thank you for helping me get here Thank you for allowing God to use you as an instrument. Anything is possible!!

Dr. Barrett is an awesome surgeon who cares about his patient's mobility and quality of life. My knee was severely degraded due to meniscus tears and arthritis. After being repaired by Dr. Barrett it feels better than it has in probably 30 years. Thank you for getting me back on my feet and active again!

Forced to give the one star. WORST patient experience of my life. Went in for a knee injury. Had been seen in the emergency clinic by an NP, who was so kind and attentive. She diagnosed a minuscus issue. She gave me a brace and a follow-up with Dr. Barrett. Waited 3 hours to see him. To have him in the room for about 2 minutes. No follow-up xrays, no instructions on what to do, no instructions on how much longer to wear the brace. Oh, but he was being shadowed by a Med student and they did sit there and LAUGH at me. The sweet NP had told me that my kneecap is out of line - something I was born with. Dr. Barrett and this other Dr. sat there and laughed at my knees. Said I had arthritis and then walked out. I left in pain and in tears. I actually refused to pay the co-pay I was that mad. A doctor should NEVER act this way.

I would HIGHLY recommend MS Sports Medicine. Very friendly staff. Every time I have called or visited EVERYONE EVERY TIME has been very friendly. It is so good to experience that. Dr. Austin Barrett did surgery on my knee. It has been 1 month and I have had NO PAIN since I left the day of surgery. On my follow-up visit after surgery, Dr. Barrett had pictures and explained what he did to my knee & why. If the need arises, I will request his services in the future.

He was referred to by the school trainer and we were a walkin and we were seen within 30 minutes. My daughter really liked him and explain to her what needed to be done to see what is going on with her leg. I will recommend him to the coaching staff at Richland High School.
