I was having some pain in my hip and Dr. Smith's PA Lisa Snow got me in right away to have x-rays done, and to consult with Dr. Smith. I was very impressed how quickly they got me in. Both Lisa and Dr. Smith spent time with me explaining my condition and options for treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Smith and his staff.

Highly recommend, knowledgeable staff. Had a very difficult problem which required a lengthy visit. I first saw the PA who spent a considerable amount of time with me, then the doctor came in and ordered more testing. MRI and labs were done in his office in a timely manner, then had a follow up appt to review my tests. Finally a diagnosis was made and surgery is scheduled. I continue to be impressed. Highly recommend.

Dr. Smith read the MRI - said I had a 90% torn rotator cuff - said surgery was required. After having to see the cardio doc for clearance (more $) and finally getting my surgery scheduled a month 1/2 later, turns out I had adhesive capsulitus. (frozen shoulder) Surgery is the LAST thing you want to do for that. He does not engage well - spends very little time accessing. I would not recommend him. Supposed to be a specialist--I beg to differ. He missed it by a mile and several thousand $.

I was fortunate to become a patient of Dr. Smith's since 1999. Over the years, being an active person...I have had to utilize his services from a wrist & shoulder. Dr. Smith & Staff are incredibly competent, professional & courteous. I have personally sent over 50 friends/family to imo...the most qualified & competent Ortho in Amarillo.
