Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Sohail "State of the art cardiology practice offering comprehensive testing and highlighting the importance of sleep apnea testing in heart patients, as well as heart testing in patients with sleep apnea symptoms, due to frequent coexistence of the two. Keeping on the cutting edge of clinical care and maintaining a very high index of suspicion for undiagnosed sleep apnea given its high prevalence in cardiac patients remains the hallmark of this practice and the basis of our motto, "Connecting the dots between heart & sleep...""

Dr. Sohail may be a great Dr. I would not know because out of three visits to his office, I've spent a total of 5 minute with him. His staff is horrible when it comes to medical billing and actual test procedure. I played test dummy when one of his staff members was trying to perform an EKG and could not connect the leads properly. During an Echo procedure, the tech. actually stopped in the middle to take a cell phone call. They overcharged my FSA and refused to refund it.

I have been seeing Dr. Sohail for a few years now and was very happy with the care that I received until I went recently. His staff is very incompetent when it comes to insurance and how it works and rude. When I tried to explain they acted like I was lying and that they were correct and in fact they were not correct. I will not be returning to this office as I was treated very rudely. The last two times I have seen the NP not the actual Dr himself.

Dr. Atif is very knowledgeable, assessed me very thoroughly and answered all my questions. I am very much satisfied with the treatment I am receiving under his supervision. I feel confident to recommend him to anyone looking for a cardiologist who will care about his patient's medical health as a whole

The first doctor to even treat me for sleep apnea. Excellent service. Nice office and staff.
Chatan, 47 |
Not only is Dr. Sohail rude and abrasive but his staff is no better. The phone constantly goes to voicemail or it rings busy. Trying to get approved for a refill is a nightmare. If you have a choice, go elsewhere because I'm sure you won't regret it. The only reason he has 2 stars is because the facility is nice.

I have been seeing Dr. Sohail since January 2016, after my heart went into a-fib. He is a personal and caring Dr., striving to see each of his patients make life style changes to improve their overall health.
Grand Prairie, TX |
I've been taking my father to Dr. Sohail since December 2015 for pulmonary hypertension. Wait time usually 60-90 minutes. Our last visit was to follow up after Dr. Sohail ordered my dad to use CPAP for sleep apnea. We waited 70 minutes. He asked 1 question then decided my dad need a sleep aid + continue with the CPAP + follow up in 3 months. I asked for result from CPAP report, Dr. Sohail did not review it nor did he even have the report. Very poor patient care. My dad deserves better.
in Carrollton, TX |
I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone needing healthcare in cardiology. He is very empathetic and truly cares for his patients
Fountain |
Doctor did not seem to be willing to educate himself on my symptoms and was very condescending. He came in to my room unprepared and antagoniatic. I did not feel that he was concerned for my health.
