I had only 2 appointments with Dr. Rivers. I went to see her initially for swelling in my legs. She sent me for some very expensive lab tests and ultrasound testing - which I later found didn't have anything to do with the swelling in my legs. The first appointment I waited several hours. The second appointment I gave up after waiting for 2 hours and still had 3 people in front of me (the same three people that were there the entire 2 hours I had been waiting). My appointment was at 8am. All of her patients do nothing but complain in the waiting room about constant waiting for every appointment with her. She doesn't care about her patient's time -she doesn't even show up to the office until several hours after her first appoint is booked, starting out hours late, pushing all of her appointments back by hours, extremely unprofessional. After I went to another doctor I found out what I needed with a completely different diagnosis. I was also told my other testing was unnecessary.

I have had 12 appointments with her. 6 of those appointments have been cancelled by her. Average wait time past the scheduled appointment is 3 hours. Only once did she see me within one hour of the appointment. One time, I waited 3 hours then she cancelled on me. When scheduled for intervention, she cancelled that too. I had reschedule my work week to accommodate her. Plus, I have seen 2 irate patients stating they were firing her for reasons listed above. I finally fired her when she cancelled 2 appointments in a row of which I needed cardiac clearance for surgery. Nope. I can’t handle 3 hour wait times and 50% cancellations. There are plenty of other cardiologists who will see you in a timely manner.
