I waited months for this appointment (which had been changed a number of times which was unknown to me) and was very unimpressed with the office staff. doctors and medical office. Definitely wasn't worth the wait to see Dr. Jenkins. The appointment was very brief and the pain management doctor did the exam as Dr Jenkins watched.

Dr. Jenkins has restored my faith in living I spent the past 12 years, from doctor to doctor, trying to find a permanent solution to my severe and debilitating pain. All they wanted was to prescribe medication and dismiss anything else; I refuse medication and was told that if I did not take medication I would never feel better (self proven fact, medication actually makes you feel worse, yuck! Who has time to vomit and have vertigo all day? How are we to function in a work place, commute, LIVE feeling like that? I finally googled top neurosurgeon in NYS and there he was! Dr. Jenkins has been one to show interest in fixing, not dismissing or masking his patients' pain. From the very start he is and has remained pleasant, polite, attentive, and detail oriented. First, he fixed a failed cervical fusion made by another doctor; his fusion is healed and intact. I am so happy that I cannot wait to have my lower back disabling pain gone asap!!

Dr. Jenkins has been excellent at fixing my spinal problems and finding what is causing problems. I have seen and been seen by many physicians, but he's the one I trust, whose opinion matters. I also give him very high marks for looking at me when he's talking to me, answering all my questions, and putting me at ease. He's very easy to talk with.

Imagine having severe lower back pain for the better part of a year. You receive a diagnosis from a top neurosurgeon. The treatment consisted of physical therapy and a steroid injection. Net result - the severe pain is still present. This is when I sought out Dr. Jenkins, and am I glad I did! In a nutshell, Dr. Jenkins is a very caring, world-class neurosurgeon. Dr. Jenkins properly diagnosed my condition and explained things with such clarity and detail. He answered alI of my questions. I learned things about my lower back that I was unaware of. He said my condition required "a creative approach". How right he was. He recommended two bilateral steroid injections in my lower back. I felt relief right away. It's been a month since my injections and I am pain-free and back to walking/jogging and playing golf. I am also getting a good night sleep! I am so grateful to Dr. Jenkins! I highly recommend Dr. Jenkins to anyone suffering from a back/spine condition!

Terrible experience. Very misleading information. Reviews of radiology info that is submitted and surgery recommendations are made by a chiropractor! I was told that a different surgeon, not Dr. Jenkins would perform my surgery. Stay away.

He is a great and excellent neurosurgeon. I have had an excellent experience here and his staff is extremely accommodating. He believes in nothing but the best for his patients and treats accordingly. If someone has a back problem I would not hesitate to go to him. His advise on second opinions is extraordinary.

I was referred to Dr. Jenkins for a second opinion after being told I needed a cervical fusion, needless to say I was terrified. Dr. Jenkins took the time to review the MRI with me in great detail, ensuring I understood the situation and advised me that he would do a laminoplasty. Not only was that a far more preferable solution, but Dr. Jenkins made me feel comfortable and alleviated any concerns I had about having cervical surgery. He and his staff are wonderful to deal with – most notably Anna and Sarah who got my surgery scheduled less than one week later. Miraculously I was able to take a planned trip to Israel only three weeks after surgery. I am still recovering but I can say without reservation that my experience could not have been any more positive, and I will remain eternally grateful.

Dr. Arthur Jenkins was a blessing to my life. After dealing with a herniated disc that caused severe pain, weakness, and numbness going from my neck down to my arm, he performed an ACDF surgery which relieved my symptoms. He is an amazingly skilled surgeon, kind person, and his staff is great as well. Thank you so much Dr. Jenkins!

Finally, a doctor who really loves to heal patients. A caring, and concerned physician and surgeon who changed my life with both cervical and lumbar surgery and allowed me to reconnect with a normal life. I could not overstate the difference Dr. Jenkins has made to my physical condition. He also helped another member of my family in resolving a back issue and did so, so thoroughly that another life threatening issue was discovered in time so treatment could and did make a difference. I'm not sure that I know another physician who would have taken Dr. Jenkins' approach in handling this matter.

I liked Dr. Jenkins very much. My surgery went very well and the only post-surgical pain I had was a stiff neck. I recommend him without any reservations. He explained the surgery such that I understood what would be happening to me.
