Dr. Arsalla Islam is a vascular, endovascular, and bariatric surgeon. She joins the Alliance medical community from her most recent position at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina where she completed a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery. Prior to Wake Forest, Dr. Islam was an Assistant Professor and Director of Bariatrics and Assistant Program Director for the Laparoscopic and Bariatric fellowship program at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Islam's wide range of surgical expertise includes treatment for morbid obesity, gall bladder disease, hernias, laparoscopic splenectomy, carotid surgery, endovascular and open surgical treatment for upper extremity, abdominal, and lower extremity vessels, and arteriovenous fistula creation for dialysis. Dr. Islam has authored 8 book chapters and 23 peer review articles in international conferences and journals. She has served as course director and instructor for several advanced laparoscopic and vascular ultrasound courses at both UT Southwestern and Wake Forest. Dr. Islam's practice is located off I-35W at Heritage Trace Parkway.
