Within 60 days, I had two retina tears, the 2nd much worse than the first. My vision in one eye was completely obstructed from the blood. Dr. Farr saw me right away and assured me he could repair my retina and clean the obstruction with surgery the following day. I was reassured by his calm confidence however it was it complete competence that I most appreciated. Follow ups have been easy and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Farr however I hope not to see him again soon.

Dr. Farr is very kind - you can tell he cares about his patients. Sometimes he feels a little rushed and could explain what is going on a little more. Overall, good guy and good doctor.

I have macular degeneration and need shots in the eye frequently -yuk!! I have been seeing Dr. Farr for years. He has taken great care of me and has been very kind. I don't wish what I am going through on anyone but if you want someone who will take great care of you, you can't go wrong with Dr. Farr

I came to Dr. Farr for a 2nd opinion after some complications from a detached retina. He said that he felt he could help me and he did. I would recommend him to anyone that had a retina problem

Recommended after cataract surgery to correct a mistake, very good.
Not a real opthamologist IMO. Just be warned. Was referred to Dr Farr due to complications arising from shingles around my right eye. He looked right past my cornea and only looked at my retina. He said everything looked good. I had severe pain and couldn't keep right eye open. He told me he only looks at retinas. No joke! I went to a real opthamologist at CEENTA who diagnosed cornea infection due to shingles. Almost lost my right eye and still in treatment 6 months later.
In my rush to give you the good news, that shingles had not affected your retina, I was not clear in my roll. I am a retina specialist, a board-certified Ophthalmologist fellowship-trained in the back of the eye. Patients with zoster (shingles) are sent to me by their eye doctor to see if the retina is infected. If the retina is not affected then the care is taken over by a general ophthalmologist or a cornea specialist. I am happy that you do not need my care. Best wishes on your recovery.

I've had 2 appts. With Dr Farr and after the second appt. I am convinced that he could care less about me or my health issues. His manner was dismissive on both occasions, and I have no intention of returning to his practice.
Your irreversible retina problem occurred years before you came to me. I share your frustration that I, nor any doctor, is able to help this. I am sorry that this somehow came across as a lack of caring. Feel free to call me and I will go over everything with you.
