First appointment was a pleasant experience
I've been experiencing some severe neck and lower back pain and my PCP suggested I see Dr K. My appointment went smoothly, staff was professional, courteous, and friendly. Dr K was professional, courteous, timely, to the point with orders were written for MRI Scan Spine. Follow up scheduled.

I went in to his office complaining of severe cognitive issues, coordination difficulty, lethargy and headache. It was right after I sustained a severe adverse drug reaction. After abnormal brain imaging and neuropsych testing showed brain damage he lied and said the tests were normal and threw me out of his office as he didn’t want to pin it on the medication. He is corrupt.

I was very upset (crying) and concerned about symptoms I was having. I had typed a long list of symptoms to go over. He was so friendly and patient. He went through each one with me and listened intently. He gave me a neuro exam, which i passed, but I told him I still feel like something is being missed. He ordered add'l testing since I was concerned. His nurse called me back immediately with results. After seeing a terrible neuro through DMG previously, I am so happy to have found him.

I saw Dr. Konyukhov this week for the first time and he was excellent. I started having new headache symptoms that really had me frightened. He told me these are not serious. AND he listed for me what exactly would be symptoms I should report right away. Good to know! He was kind too.

If I could give zero stars I would have. My husband was in Elmhurst hospital for a second stroke in six weeks. We hadn't previously met Dr. Konyukhov prior, he was the one on duty that weekend. He acted bothered to have been summoned for questions prior to check out. He was condescending and actually chuckled at my questions. He felt an actual diagnosis of stroke or Bell's Palsy was unimportant. (second opinion revealed he in fact had Bell's which Dr. failed to treat). HORRIBLE bedside manner.

I saw him 3 times. He was rude and abrupt, and he walked out in the middle of our conversation, without signaling that our appointment was even over. He discontinued meds that need to be tapered off w/o warning of withdrawal or side effects. He couldn't answer questions about why neck tension makes headaches worse (responded with "You should see a headache specialist.") Waited 5 weeks to discuss ongoing physical symptoms and meds = He says "see a headache specialist" and walks out. WORTHLESS.
