Dr. Pressman performed a hip resurfacing on my right side in approximately 2011. That surgery has been a complete success. My right hip is largely pain free and I don't even really think about it anymore. The reduction of pain helped me compensate for the continued problems I've had on the left side. After ten years the pain on my left side is bad enough that I wanted to explore having the same procedure again on my bad hip. I've had two appointments with Dr. Pressman (5/2021 & 9/2021) regarding my left hip. His consultation style is similar to what I remembered from 2011. I would say that his communication style is "efficient". We did exchange some small talk and pleasantries. But the visit was mostly dedicated to discussing my x-rays, asking about my pain levels /health and answering any questions I had. His language and conversation style were geared towards my level of understanding. I'm looking forward to my upcoming surgery.

He lives in an alternate universe and has no idea what is going on, nor seems to care to. He was 30 years behind on my case and was trying to make surgical plans. He needs to try to pay attention and ask more patient hx questions and then listen to the answers.

Dr Pressman performed the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing System in both of my hips earlier this year (January and April) and am extremely satisfied with the results. I am a 52 year old male and had severe osteoarthritis in both hips from decades of martial arts training. I went from barely walking a year ago to fully participating and competing in martial arts once again. I can throw kicks like I did 20 years ago completely pain free. The physical therapy was tough but very much worth the effort. Dr Pressman listened and answered all of my questions thoroughly making the choice to have him as my surgeon and easy one. Both surgeries were performed at Monongahela Valley Hospital and the entire staff there was top notch. My physical therapy was done at the Wexford Health Pavilion and again, a totally top notch facility. Dr Pressman changed my life and I will be forever grateful. If you are needing hip resurfacing, this is the Doctor. Thank you Dr. Pressman!

Xrays that were done indicated degeneration of the left knee as well as an aneurism of the popliteal artery. The right has been replaced and have experienced pain in the patella, knee cap for a long time. Waiting in the exam room, an individual came in and asked questions about my “complaints”, when I described the pain I was having with the knee cap, he immediately told me it was my back that was causing the pain dismissing the point of the knee giving out and abruptly tells me “you had four back surgeries” that was the bases of his “claim”. Dr Pressman came in shortly after and with out much conversation echos the other individuals conclusions, wonder if they had looked at the xrays which were never mentioned and the condition of the left knee was never addressed. Then the nurse that came in first, lifted my right leg and pushed back on my toes while Pressman pushed down on my back as far as he could causing discomfort in the ham string and Achilles tendon, see it’s your back. ???
