To echo other reviews regarding Dr Ahern. She leaves patients in the lurch. I have no clue how she runs her practice and only can tell her staff what worked for me in the past. I found infusions for migraines helpful to zap them out. I was directed to the ER! That’s wrong on so many levels! They treat you like you have a stroke or brain cancer. They have to rule out major things and aren’t there for migraine care. If she called and have a protocol that would be one thing but that isn’t realistic! It’s a way to turf off patients. Don’t offer infusions if you’re going to select who and when they can be used! I had used them three times In six months. I guess that’s too much? She’s a dip! Seemed to be personally upset when I said they helped a lot and asked her nurse if I could have one. The nurses are cranky as well. Overworked and twist words around like you’re angry. If you have such strong dislikes for people In pain then I think headache care isn’t for you! Awful!

This comment couldn't have been more spot on with this Doctor: "Seemed to decide symptoms were psychosomatic despite blood results & symptoms. I realize doctors are overwhelmed, but please realize most patients are not making up symptoms & want to be well" I absolutely would not recommend this Doctor to anyone.

Pleasant at first, but seemed to decide symptoms were psychosomatic despite blood results & symptoms. Followup w/CNP dismissed symptoms too & wrote rX for something I was sure I didn't have (thankfully I never took). Went elsewhere to PCP and new neuro who both immediately saw symptoms & surprised at med prescribed & that I was released from neuro rehab.I realize doctors are overwhelmed, but please realize most patients are not making up symptoms & want to be well!

Dr. Ahern & her staff take an exceptional amount of time with me and my wife & was able to clearly diagnose & very effectively treat Occipital Neuralgia. She has a wonderful demeanor displaying true compassion, patience, & understanding that is incredibly reassuring, offering hope after a 7+yr illness. Numerous physicians had not been able to pinpoint neuralgia because it displays a host of symptoms. Very effective treatment has been like a reset button for my life! I highly recommend Dr. Ahern!

Very poor experience. Misdiagnosed and her notes stated 'MRI unremarkable' even though first line of radiologist's impression clearly showed abnormality. Very short and terse and refused to answer follow up questions. Would not recommend this Dr to anyone.
