What People Say About Dr. Anthony Visco, MD

I found Dr. Visco to be very competent, confident and compassionate - all the right elements of being an excellent doctor! Although I don't look forward to having surgery, I feel very confident about having it with Dr. Visco. His entire staff was capable and very pleasant to deal with.

He repeated tests from another dr & found different results leading him to install a urethral sling which had to be removed few weeks later. He did 2 pelvic organ prolapse surgeries and they had to be redone by him and finally by another doctor in another town. He made fun of me during a painful local procedure and said ," I bet we don't get any christmas cards from her" while I screamed from pain as he released a stitch that he put through my pudendal nerve and sacrospinous ligament.

Dr. Visco only cares about if you have a prolapsed bladder. If you have pelvic/bladder pain it's not prolapsed according to him, he doesn't care. He'll discount your pain and argue with you about it. If you had a hysterectomy don't see him, he's incompetent in that area. His bed side manner is horrible. Dr. Visco is apathetic, interrupts, egotistical and doesn't listen. He'll offer no medical help. Don't waste your time or money. Now, I'm seeing a urogyno outside of the Duke group.

Very arrogant, insisted on repeating tests performed by previous physician unnecessarily. He wouldn't schedule surgery for months. He insisted I see students in the meantime.
