Too soon to tell but after 1 appt very disappointed. Office staff including NP's very incompetent. Lots mistakes including medications errors and lack of communication and responses. Not good first impression but want need a good doctor due to health issues and age and am hoping don't need to change doctors but will if not rectified issues and answers. Did not choose this doctor or practice by choice or referral. Was desperate when needed new primary care provider

Arrogant is an understatement. He prescribed a controlled substance for me and THREE times his office sent it to the wrong pharmacy. Each time I called and nicely asked for them to correct this, was assured it would be done and it kept going to the wrong pharmacy. I finally wrote an email and received a nasty phone call from the "Dr" who told me that I was taking "too much time" and that I should make an appointment -- because his office could not send an RX to the correct place? REALLY?!!!

I've had him as my doctor for a few years. He acts pompous and rude, without listening to his patients. I just think it's his personality; he likes to hear himself talk. He's knowledgeable, but often times downplays any symptoms a patient mentions, rather than sympathizing with them; this may make sense when you have a patient who is dramatic, hysterical, or a hypochondriac, but for most patients it simply makes the visit seem like a waste of time. Doesn't concern himself with PC, which I like.
Henrietta, NY |
We have less than zero trust in this man. Thinks he knows more than specialists and lab results by simply looking at you. Rude and arrogant.
Rochester, NY |
Make that a ZERO!!! Total arrogant jerk. He is definitely in the wrong profession...zero empathy, zero listening skills, zero follow-up, zero everything!! Swore at me over the phone, called me "dude"...this is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen in my life. I will be seeking out the proper protocol for reporting this man and I suggest those (and it seems like there are many of you) who have given this so called doctor a 1 star rating do the same. RGH as well as Excelllus.

Dr.Solazzo is an amazing doctor who I have had a number of friends switch to and they all thanked me for helping them find someone so knowledgeable and caring. He has helped so many people and is a great doctor. The best.
Rochester, NY |
This person is by no means, a Dr. He is loud , arrogant, gave my father false information about his cancer diagnosis, without even reviewing the Oncologist notes, made weeks before. He discussed my fathers condition, with people not approved to discuss anything with, talked so loud at my dad, the whole waiting room could hear him , & his whole discussion, this is not quality medical care people! I have since arranged alternative care for my Dad, a move not done soon enough! Run like the wind !

My first visit here, my dr was booked. Although nice , shook my hand and introduced himself, I found him a bit arrogant as well. He kind of reminds me of a burnout from the 70s. He did not examine me. However, he seemed strangely knowledgeable. The staff, Alice in particular, well exceed any I have ever encountered. Wish she worked in my Drs. office.

Finding a doctor that fits your wants/needs is difficult. I have had Solazzo as my primary for years and there are times we are on the same page and times we have disagreed - but he researches and will listen to questions/opposing sides as well. I have recommended him to some people and he was a great fit and others he wasn't. Tony will also happily setup or give ideas if someone wants a 2nd opinion. Works for me and I followed him to Victor from his office in Fairport before that
Wolcott, ny |
Very friendly. Kind. Tells you how it is. Spends quality time and educates on his rationale for doing things. Highly recommended , great with all ages.
in Farmington, NY |
Arrogant! Does no exam on you. Don't waste your time.
Rochester, NY |
He spends time needed and tells you the truth. Not just what you want to hear.
in Rochester, NY |
I am leaving 1 star only because there is not a 0 star rating. I am not even sure if it is fitting to call the man a Doctor. He is an insensitive, cold and condescending man that is distant, a disgrace to RGH This guy took over a pratice from Dr. Conezio who was a caring, compassionate and attentive doctor. He was and genuinely interested in making your life healthier, and ultimately better. The guy is a putz! No bedside manner, crude, obnoxious. 6,8 years of medical school do not make you a md
Rochester, NY |
AWFUL
I wouldn't recommend him at all. Please take my word for it. Because of the RGH director picked him to be there, well I strongly suggest that Dr. Solazzo should try working in the hospital at RGH!! We'll see how he can perform there.

I am not happy with this dr . He is loud, maybe arrogant and impersonal. I left his office feeling unheard or cared about .
in Victor, NY |
This Dr. recently took over for our physician when he retired. We have had multiple visits for my 79 y/o mom and 81 y/o dad and I am 47. He started with we were over managed by our previous Dr. That we only need to come when we are sick. when I came in with a injured back- he made a nasty comment that I brought a family member with me, I couldn't drive. He was sarcastic, condescending, and loud. He has trouble listening and then you repeat yourself and still he doesn't hear you. Not good.

Dr. Solazzo took over for my retiring physician. Here are the highlights of my first appt - waited 50 mins from the time of my appt to see him. - after a preliminary exam told me I probably had a particular type of bursitis and to look that up on line. - did not want to order x-rays or further tests. - asked if I thought I had time for PT, if so he would give me a script for that (which he did) - told me he that (former dr's last name only) over-managed his patients. He didn't.
