Dr. Hedley replaced my knee in 2009. Two years later I was back because my leg was now 3/4 inch shorter than the "good" leg. He x-rayed the knee he operated on and pronounced that it looked great. He sent me on my way with no explanation why the leg was getting shorter. Dr. Jimmy Chow, his partner, did the same. Now 2017 it turns out both doctors missed that the hip on the "bad" leg was slowly going back and into the pelvis. They never x-rayed the hip. Hip surgery scheduled for 7/2017.

Very unhappy with results of Hip Replacement. Follow up appointments are with other Doctors, all of whom were not there for your surgery. No explanation why my leg is 12 mm longer that the non surgical leg than for stability. After going to two differ physical therapy locations, I am told that they do not see this much length difference to day. My mobility is changed forever. My balance is off. Wearing a lift in my shoe has not proven to be comfortable. Wish I had gone elsewhere.

Very straight forward and you knew what to expect. Would recommend him to anyone I know who's gimping around..... would recommend he invest in the game ready units as the 1st and 2nd day with ice packs were horrible from begging to get the ice, to waking up soaking wet because they slumped over, melted and leaked all over....nurses finally figured out the game ready had an ice chamber and between compression and ice cold circulation was the best thing ever....had a timer. Class act!!!

Poor follow up, when you call for an appointment with Dr Hedley, you don't get him unless you specifically ask for him! Huh? Isn't that the reason you make the appointment? His surgical skills are great but patient care and post follow up, at least in my case, leaves a LOT to be desired!

Absolute worst experience. 6-months post-surgery (3rd one in a year) and unable to walk without crutches. Lack of ownership, guidance and follow-through astoundingly deficient. Repeatedly denied any wrong-doing despite x-rays showing improper hardware placement. After 5 months, finally admitted to surgical error. Today, I live with significant pain, nerve damage, and cannot functionally straighten nor bend my leg. Incompetence and negligence have had a profoundly negative impact on my life.
in Placitas, NM |
Very poor experience with this practice. Beware! We drove to Phoenix from our home 500 miles away because they promised they could do a patient-specific knee surgery. My husband spoke with Hadley's office 3 weeks prior to the surgery. After meeting with Hadley's Brandon Gough the evening before surgery, we discovered they did not have the prosthesis needed to do the surgery the next morning. Neither doctor apologized and they refused to reimburse our travel costs. Shoddy practice. Stay away!
