Care Philosophy

Please visit my website: defrancomd.org

My Practice Philosophy: It must be...

  • Evidence-based: Grounded in scientific studies
  • Personalized: I will assess the results of scientific studies, testing, and treatment decisions to you, because you are an individual
  • Patient Centered: My job is to educate so that you can make your own decisions.
  • Coordinated: With the care that you receive from other physicians
  • Ethical: As your physician, I am responsible to you - not the insurance company, Medicare, or anyone else

More About My Practice

First, I am a general as well as an interventional cardiologist: I will perform the initial evaluation of any cardiac or vascular problem, discuss treatment options, and if you need a sub-specialist, I will help you find just the right physician.Second, if your problem involves coronary artery disease, I can determine if a "stress" test, catheterization, or interventional procedure (such as a stent) is needed, and I can perform these procedures for you. Third, if you have a potential dysrhythmia (disorder of heart rhythm) I will establish the correct diagnosis and treatment, and in some cases, identify the best sub-specialist if additional treatment is necessary. And if you have a valvular or other structural heart disease, I can perform your echocardiogram and, if necessary, identify another specialist for your treatment.

in Burlington, WI |
Given the sudden and unexpected referrals to see Dr. DeFranco, I was most impressed his staff & Dr.s knowledge of my cardio-history, the willingness to answer my questions and concerns about the planned/possible treatments in clear and concise language relieved my worst worries to a let's do it! plan of treatment. I have mentioned him and his staff to several friends and fellow cardio-patients as an outstanding medical provider they should consider for their treatment.
