~0~ I am actually giving a ZERO. Dr. Chemmanur the worst doctor I have had the misfortune of going to at all, never mind for colonoscopy. I will not waste your time or mine by writing a 2000 word explanation in a 1000 word box. Summary, I wouldn’t let Dr. Annie Chemmanur de-flea my dog. Go to another practice.

I would not recommend Dr. Chemmanur to anyone. At my first visit I waited 80 minutes and my second one 45 minutes. She never explained anything unless I asked and when I did she gave very short answers that rarely actually answered my questions. It always felt like she thought I was dumb to ask at all and should have known what she did. All her answers to my problems seemed to lie in a pill. I must have taken home at least 8 different pills by now and some of them caused new side effects that she decided to treat with another pill. I don't like her approach to medicine and her staff is also very rude. One of her nurses ranted to me about a patient being out of line for complaining about the excessive wait time because she came in early as if that was a bad idea. The only good thing that came of it all was an idea of what's going on with me after an endoscopy (which I had to have further explained to me by my school nurse to understand-I'm only 18).

Dr. Chemmanur quite literally saved my life. At 38 years old, I was not a likely candidate for a colonoscopy even given my symptoms. Dr. Chemmanur carefully assessed my situation, made the recommendation and I agreed to the procedure. During the colonoscopy, she discovered and removed an "enormous" pre-cancerous polyp. I went from having a 100% chance of colon cancer to a 0% chance in one 30 minute procedure. Dr. Chemmanur is professional, competent, kind and easily worth your consideration for a Gastroenterologist .

She was great. Took a detailed history before my colonoscopy went over all my medications while the nurses and anesthesia were doing their thing . I felt as though the whole process ran so efficiently. From booking my appointment to picking up my prep and receiving all the information I needed to have a great experience.By the way this wasn’t my first experience with this procedure. But was my first time with Dr.Chemmanur M.Kaufman, Wayland,Ma

Always a two plus hour wait in the office, canceled a scheduled appointment, showed up to the new one and told me I wasn’t scheduled at all. Office staff unfriendly and unwelcoming. She has told me that “ you are a bad patient. And I have to spend my time with other patients your not really sick.” Would not recommend her. Does not care about patients

Dr. Chemmanur. I am frustrated and angry about your cancelation of my prescheduled 9/6/18 endoscopy/colonoscopy. I received initial emails of confirmation & prep instructions. Including the statement of $250 fee if I, the patient, do not comply with appointment or prep! I DID NOT receive any voice message or email from your office on change of appointment, accordingly I appeared at scheduled 10:30 arrival 9/6/18. Your patient service shows unacceptable disregard for patient, me. LPVintinner

Poor communication. Lack of diagnosis. 2+ hour wait. Called me “Honey” and “Baby”, which I find very disrespectful considering the significant age difference. Spent very little time with me and provided no opportunity to ask questions. I strongly recommend you do not use this doctor

I've never had less than a 2 hour wait at her office either, which is beyond ridiculous, especially when she only spends 5 minutes with her patients. I have had about 8 visits, so the wait time is definitely not uncommon. The office staff is unable or unwilling to communicate with your other doctors to share patient information. It's like pulling teeth to get test results from Dr. Chemmanur to your primary doctor. I found a new GI specialist.

Very nice doctor with good bedside manner. However, she is forgetful and does not keep her word. And....takes personal cell phone calls during patient visits. The office is poorly managed and not a very sterile environment. Colossal disappointment.

She should not even be a Doctor! Meds were called in for me by her office which I did not order, had no conversation that they would be coming, and I had told her at our last meeting that I would not go to her because she did such a bad job.

Do not believe any negative comments you have read. I met Dr. Chemmanur 3 weeks ago. She has already had me in for multiple tests and 2 appointments. She has convenient appointments for those who are not close to the Framingham office - her staff is polite and the office is well managed. Dr. Chemmanur is very attentive, and also cares about how I feel. She is amazing and brilliant.

I like her very much. She has a gentleness about her which is very reassuring, especially since she has to view parts of the body that are private. Plus, she is engaged in my care, making me feel like I am her only patient. Another very important quality that I really appreciate is that she doesn't discriminate. I am a large person and she doesn't hold it against me. As for skill, I believe she is quite competent. All around great physician.

I waited for 45+ minutes for a 5 minute appointment of her rambling random facts, tests and possible diagnoses. She then walked out of the room before I could ask any questions and left me with a nurse who, again, didn't explain anything that was going on. They ordered a few tests/medications without giving me any information about what they were or why I was taking them. I left very flustered and confused. I will not go back, nor would I recommend anyone to go here.
