Large institutional clinic style private office experience. I filled out multi-page intake forms and then was asked the same questions by the medical assistant and then a medical student. MA mis-interpreted my medication list. Discussion of my condition was done between the doctor, the medical assistant and the medical student in the hallway outside of the exam room door. Incorrect diagnosis used to bill expensive unnecessary testing in office. LONG wait. Left after 4 hours. Actual face time with the doctor was under 10 minutes. Doctor gave "plan" from open exam room door as she was walking out of the room. I had to call the office three weeks after the visit for lab results that were promised within 48 hours. Results given by "nurse" with 2 wrong diagnoses. After this I did not trust any information. Paid copay in cash at time of visit. Only half of payment applied to my account. Glad I had my receipt. Not the experience that I expected from a private office.

My illness presented in a non-typical manner that made diagnosis very complicated. Dr. Mensah took the time to work through the issues and got me on the proper medication that profoundly changed my life. She is one of the few doctors who is currently treating patients and simply not responding to lab values.
