An excellent specialist and an honest doctor
The doctor performed a very thorough examination and gave clear and complete explanations of the diagnosis. She is a doctor by vocation and conscientiously performs her work. I am very glad that I ended up in her office, this is the providence of God. Highly recommend.

First time visit!
Very easy to get an appointment. Staff very friendly. Exam was thorough. Dr. Shane was extremely professional, knowledgeable and explained everything well. So pleased to have found her.

First time visit
I was very pleased to meet Dr. Shane. On my first visit, she very thoroughly explained my condition. By the end of the visit, after answering all of my questions, we came up with a treatment plan. She was very kind and patient, listening to all my concerns. Her staff as well are wonderful, especially Doug and Kate, who were so very helpful with my new patient paper work. Great experience!

I was very pleased with my visit. Everyone I came into contact with was caring, kind and knowledgeable. I had been diagnosed with AMD, Age Related Macular Degeneration, in Ohio but the Dr. there did not explain anything to me. I made an appointment with Dr. Shane for a checkup and more information. She was very thorough and answered all my questions and I feel so much better about my diagnosis and understand the condition much better. I will definitely by going back to her.

No wait time. Staff friendly and Dr. Shane her regular self. Easily the best eye medical provider I've ever had. She is very intelligent, knowledgeable and caring. I drive 20 miles to see her and would drive further if I had too. Highly recommend...............5 STARS !

Every 11 to 13 weeks I need an eye injection to cure my wet macular degeneration. I just moved to Venice, FL from Chicago and my former ophthalmologist was good but not as good as Dr. Shane. After the injection, no discomfort. She really knows her medical craft. If I could give her and her staff a 10 star rating I would.

Just read Dr. Shane’s bio and you too will be very impressed. The front desk staff is very friendly and professional. Jerome scheduled my appointment and took my insurance info. He informed me that I could get all the new patient forms on their website so I brought them in with me to save time. Once I was checked in, Glynis took me to the back where she performed all the preliminary tests using state of the art equipment and fully explained what she was doing and why as well as what to expect, putting me very much at ease. Dr. Shane came in next and did the most thorough exam I’ve had in years. She too was quite personable and explained everything in layman’s terms and advised me of future treatments. Since I primarily have cornea issues, she referred me to a top cornea specialist for future assessments but would be happy to continue seeing me as a patient if I so chose. A+++. Very positive experience???????? Thank you

I have never had a more positive experience with a doctor as I had with Dr. Shane. She and her staff are "top notch" in my opinion. They were so thorough and professional throughout the examination and explained everything and answered so many questions. We didn't feel hurried and have found a doctor who really cares about her patients.

I highly recommend Dr. Anita Shane. She is a skilled and caring clinician, but also a delightful person. She took extra time to fully explain what was going on with my eye, in terminology that made sense to me. I believe in the patient knowing “why”, and that’s the approach she takes. I'm so glad to find Dr. Shane at her new location I would follow her just about anywhere! She performed macula hole repair on me two years ago Very professional and thorough and explained everything in detail. She has a wonderful 'bedside manner' and I wish other doctors were like her.
