We would recommend Dr. Goehl as a 10+++. We trust him completely, and his very caring and courteous staff always put us at ease. Having heart issues understandably makes a person very anxious. Dr. Goehl's gentle voice and low-key manner help make our visits and phone conversations feel relaxed and reassuring. Dr. Goehl's staff echo the same behavior, making us feel welcome and offering the extra sincere and personal touch in all our interactions.

My 96-year-old mother and I had an awful experience with one of Dr. Goel’s office staff. My mom is deaf and frail. It's time-consuming and painful for her to get to the doctor. Dr. Goel’s office rescheduled her August visit for September. MyChart sent a reminder about the new date and specified the Birmingham office. On the appointment day, I called the office 4 times to confirm the location. No answer. When we arrived, no one was there. We went to the Rochester office, and I mentioned the mix-up. The front desk person was rude. She said my sister and I should communicate better, and didn’t apologize. She displayed an unsympathetic attitude. When I asked her name, she fled to an office in the back. It’s the responsibility of office staff to update any time/location changes. I was going by official Beaumont communication. Dr. Goel himself and his assistant were very courteous, and apologized. However, the confrontational staff member is ill-suited for her role. She needs counseling.

Dr Goel and his staff are 5 star without any doubt. He listens carefully and compassionately to all one's questions and concerns. He never appears to hurry his sessions and is open to discussing options for care. His staff is first-rate, friendly, and efficient. They quickly help with any RX prescriptions needed and support patients in person or by phone. I would highly recommend Dr. Goel to any individual needing cardiac care.

Dr. Goel IS literally a life saver. I had been having dizzy spells for awhile and after passing out at home from one of them, my husband took me to the hospital. At which time the ER Drs. found that I was in A-Fib and had issues with my heart pausing. Dr. Goel was sent to evaluate my condition. When I was told that I needed a pacemaker I panicked, never in my life did I think this would happen. Dr Goel put my mind at ease and talked me through the whole procedure from what to expect, to why it was needed and how it would affect me. Even after I had the procedure and was released from the hospital I must have called their office once every other day with questions and concerns. The staff was so nice and understanding and answered every question I had with such patience. I would recommend any one who is having issues like mine to see Dr. Goel he really is all about the care of his patients.
