I was very pleased with Dr. Alcocer in my first visit previous a colonoscopy study. He examined me after looking at my records and talking face to face with me, a rarity with ordinary Anglo doctors. He listened to my concerns and replied with thoughtful explanations to my inquiries. He conveyed respect for the individual as a patient. It was very reassuring.

I have seen Dr. Alcocer for a few months now and he has helped me tremendously. This man gave me a comfortable style of living after years of suffering with IBS and being misdiagnosed time after time again. He has given me hope and a desire to live that previously was dimmed by other doctors. He is very punctual with his appointments, is attentive to your needs and goes the extra mile regarding treatment and medication. He is the gastroenterologist that I have recommended my whole family and fr

It is not often that you get to shake the hand of the person that saved your mother's life! My mother had been in the hospital for ten days with serious GI problems, her weight had dropped from 107 to 90 pounds, and several doctors had been unable to help her. Then Dr. Alcocer was consulted - within 24 hours my mother was rapidly improving and very quickly she was back to normal! Dr. Alcocer is brilliant, methodical, modest and fundamentally decent, despite the fact that he is a genius!

Found him to be uncaring and brusque. I was very sick, had lost a quarter of my body weight and he couldn't schedule any diagnostic tests for 6 weeks out. He was only in the room for about 3 minutes, still charged me the full fee. Could barely walk and only one office staffmember cared enough to try and help me walk back to the exam room. Too many patients? Dunno, won't go back.

Dr. Alcocer was very kind and listened to everything I had to say. He took his time with me and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend him.
