Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Wang "I specialize in and am very interested in treating patients with heart valve disease such as aortic or mitral valve conditions. I am dedicated to improving the outcome of patients with these conditions particularly with less invasive treatments involving cardiac catheterization. I also direct the Duke Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic for patients with this heart condition where we provide comprehensive treatment risk assessment and genetic or family counseling for patients. I am actively involved in research in these areas including ongoing multicenter and Duke-based studies. Finally I am very interested in educating future cardiologists and have served as the program director for the Duke Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship since 2007 and worked on educational initiatives with the American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians."
