I've been seeing Dr. Spitzer to follow my hip for 15 years. I had a replacement 20 years ago, and the surgeon recommended him to follow me after I moved to CA. Since I hadn't been in 3 years, they put me down as a new patient. I was examined by the PA. After waiting more than an hour after the PA finished his evaluation, Spitzer came in and said, "nice to meet you". If he even looked at my record first, he would have seen that I had been there before. He said he agreed with the PA's recommendations. Never touched me. No exam. Saw him for 3 minutes, tops. If they just sent me on my way after the PA exam, I would have been OK with that. He wrote in his exam notes that he examined me. He lied. THEN!!! I got the bill for the x-rays. $2746 was billed for x-rays!! I had to pay over $600 (the negotiated rate) for x-rays.

Two weeks after hip replacement surgery with Dr Spitzer and I couldn’t be happier. I feel Dr Spitzer & his team are the best of the best. I’m thrilled with the care I received that has made it possible for me to now be walking normally, without pain.

Dr. Spitzer is a class A professional—communicative, caring, and is forthright about what to expect. He replaced both of my hips, 12 years apart, and I highly recommend him.

In 1997, Dr. Spitzer replaced both my knees and they are still as good as ever 21 years later. In those days, I got to stay in the hospital and rehab for 3 and a half weeks and walked out without any help. I bless him every day for giving me legs to get around and go places all these years!

I think Dr. Spitzer is excellent. Obviously a very good surgeon - but - he's also got a great "human touch" as well, communicating directly and clearly and warmly during visits. So glad I was recommended to him.

Dr. Spitzer replaced my right hip about 3 years ago. It was one of the most disappointing experiences I have had to live through in years. I had to have the hip redone 3 months later by Dr. Snibbe who also operates out of Cedars. Dr. Spitzer replaced my hip but he mismeasured and put me together with my leg OVER 1.5 INCHES too long. Dr. Spitzer's answer was physical therapy. The Doctor of Physical therapy said I had been structurally built wrong. Run from this "doctor" and never look back.

Excellent surgeon; outcome better than expected. When he replaced my left hip he “straightened” my left thigh - this resolved my chronic neck and cervical spine pain.

The only thing I really dislike about this office is they only send text messages to re-schedule appointments with NO FOLLOW UP. Would prefer to get a voicemail or EMAIL regarding appointment changes.
