Dr. Hammer earned his Medical Degree from The University of Maryland School of Medicine followed by an Internship at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Ft. Gordon, Georgia and then completed his training with a Residency in Ophthalmology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center which serves greater Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. Dr. Hammer served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Ireland Army Community Hospital in Ft. Knox, Kentucky prior to joining Baltimore Washington Eye Center. At Baltimore Washington Eye Center Dr. Hammer sees patients for routine eye exams and eye care as well as for eye problems, conditions, diseases and surgery related to glaucoma, cataracts, age related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic eye problems."
