I am a 75 year old patient and broke my right elbow in a fall. After going to the emergency room, I was referred to Dr. Dold and he saw me immediately. After he reviewed the break, he operated within 2 days. I started physical therapy 2 weeks later at the Star Sports Therapy and was assigned to an excellent PT therapist named Ben. I am now fully recovered and I am very pleased with the professionalism and concern that Dr. Dold, his team and associated therapist had shown to me. I would highly recommend this team for any of your orthopedic needs.

This May a month after turning 50 I was overdoing weights at the gym and completely ruptured my distal bicep tendon. My family doctor recommended Dr. Dold and his practice Star Orthopedics. They said he was the best at these types of injuries. I had no idea how right they were when I visited Dr. Dold's office the first time and saw all the professional athletes signed jerseys covering all the walls, offices and hallways there. These are people that make their living needing to be in top performance condition. He also had signed gear from Marines that needed to be fixed up to get back into the battlefield. Every patient I ran into said the same thing. Dr. Dold is the best and will get you back to new or better in no time. So three months after my surgery everything is coming along great and my arm has full function again. I am back in the gym daily but taking it slow over the next three months to fully allow the healing to finish its process. Dr. Dold and his team are the best!

Dr. Dold performed complex hip surgery on my daughter. We had met with 3 different surgeons before getting a referral to Dr. Dold in Frisco, he was recommended by another doctor and family friend. Our family is more than appreciative of him. He is simply the best at what he does and my daughter is evidence of this. No more hip pain and back to competitive gymnastics. Thank you Dr. Dold.

I had heard from many other people that a rotator cuff surgery was extremely painful. I am happy to say that was not my case. Dr. Dold made this almost pain free. I don't know how he did it but he worked magic on my shoulder. On the follow up visit he explained, in detail, exactly what he did (with pictures) and what I could expect going forward. I would recommend Dr. Dold most highly.

Dr. Dold performed shoulder surgery on my daughter (age 16). He made sure to answer all of our questions and his office staff was a pleasure to work with. From start to finish, we could not have asked for a better experience. My daughter recovered beautifully and has only one small visible scar, which is fading. Her shoulder is now stable and has full mobility. If she or I are ever again in need of an orthopedic surgeon, we would definitely return to Dr. Dold.

Dr. Dold performed right knee replacement surgery for my husband June 2020 (he is playing golf again) and right shoulder arthroscopy for me. Dr. Dold is amazing, thorough and is interested in whole body health before, during and after surgery. Sutures are detailed with hardly any scarring - even my husband’s knee. Highly recommend Dr. Dold for ortho surgery.

i have a broken humerus and saw the dr all of 5 min. he says I will need surg in 3 mo, a year whenever I want. he’s sending me out the door with the flimsy sling from the ER. I ask for something better to stabilize my arm. his reply was we have another sling but it will be $100. his asst says it’s a post surg sling, the pillow is for my neck & I don’t need the stress ball. later my friend applies it properly with the arm stabilizer pillow & the ball for circulation. DR f/u wanted mri & appt in 3 wks, tramadol for meds. i call to sched the mri & was told it was for a cat scan-i had that at the ER. f/u w/Dr office bout the mri & pain meds as i have deep throbbing. Most important i have NO knowledge about what i’m supposed to do. He also does not prescribe pain pills (i’m allergic to tyl 3) I’ve sched an appt with Dr Burkhead-a leader in shoulder surg. it will be a month post break & I sit w/a throbbing arm. NO, I don’t recommend Dr Dold. (he is polite, dresses sharp)

Dr. Dold performed tennis elbow surgery on me in January 2020. I went to him back in 2019 with horrible pain and we worked on a conservative treatment plan that just didn't work. After some discussions, the surgery was the best option and I am so happy I listened to him. After missing 4 months of golf, I am back to playing golf and shooting lower rounds than I did prior to surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Andrew Dold and his team if you are experiencing any sort of pain in your hand, wrist, elbow or shoulders.

I am absolutely impressed with the professionalism, talent and attitudes of everyone I came in contact with at Dr. Dold's office! Barbara is awesome and very helpful. My hip replacement was by far the easiest recovery I have had in a long line of painful surgeries throughout my life. I am so impressed with Dr. Dold's practice and his staff and can only describe my experience as "Unbelievable"!! The level of customer service I experienced was astounding. I will insist that anyone needing a new hip see him and will brag every chance I get about how quickly I have recovered from my total hip replacement. My other hip is next and I can't wait to be back to my "old self".... but not nearly as hard on my body. I definitely would have taken better care of myself if I had expected to live this long. Thanks to you all, I am a fan!

Make sure that if you get recommended to this office from Baylor Hospital that you ensure they can take NEW patients first. Hopefully they don’t tell you that you messed up your arm so bad and need surgery really soon only for them to not be able to do it (and then proceed to recommend you to a very poorly rated specialist). And then ALSO make sure they don’t order you completely wrong CT scans only for you to show up at a new specialists office and have them say you need to get new scans. (“Oh your elbow is super messed up - here’s the order for your wrist scan only.”) Thanks for the help Dr. Dold and team! At least you gave my mom more meds so she can dull out her pain!

After a fall, I went to the first doctor that was available. X-rays and an MRI were ordered and it revealed that I had torn my ACL. After a recommendation, I made an appointment with Dr. Dold and one more surgeon. Dr. Dold ordered a more detailed MRI which revealed additional damage to the knee in the form of a meniscus root repair. Dr. Dold was the only doctor out of the three that I saw that recommended the additional diagnostic test. The other doctors recommended physical therapy, which would not have corrected my knee pain, and had I followed their recommendation I would be looking at knee replacement surgery in my very near future. I elected to have meniscus root repair and ACL reconstruction surgery with Dr. Dold and I could not be happier with the results. He answered all of my questions before the surgery and his office team is very helpful with all the paperwork required by my employer. I highly recommend Dr. Dold to anyone needing or considering surgery.

Seven months in to a total knee replacement that was not doing well, I visited Dr. Dold to get a 2nd opinion on my options moving forward. After discussion, a couple of further tests, and a lot of prayer, we decided that the best move forward would be a "revision" (a replacement of the replacement). Dr. Dold did this revision seven weeks ago. The function in my knee was better than before after only three weeks. I could not recommend Dr. Dold highly enough. Thanks again, doc.

I contacted Dr. Andrew Dold's office this past May. I'd been having pain in my left buttock running down to my knee for the previous year. Sitting for any length of time was uncomfortable, driving was absolute torture. By this point I'd seen other physicians, had an MRI of my back, a steroid shot in both my buttock and knee to zero relief. Initially Dr. Dold and myself concentrated on my hip pain. He gave me an x-ray guided steroid shot deep into me hip. Unfortunately like the others, I felt little if any relief. Being the case, we redirected our attention to my knee. A new MRI indicated a fairly progressed arthritis condition. After a short discussion of the possible approaches, I decided to have my knee replaced as it would need to be done anyway. On August 13th I had my surgery and everything went great. Ironically, the pain in my buttock also went away. I've had a fast recovery and am mostly back to normal. Thanks to Dr. Dold and his wonderful staff, a great group.

I want to tell the world what an Amazing job Dr. Dold preformed on my hip. I'm a 40yr old mother of six who thought all the back pain was from so many deliveries and just aches and pains from getting older. I'd been to a number of Dr's and lots of tests with zero results as to why I was having horrible Sharp, throbbing, and burning symptoms down my right leg. My first day to see Dr. Dold I could hardly lift my right leg and the range of motion tests he performed had me crying. One x-ray and he knew Exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. I had a bone spur that caused a huge labral tear and during surgery he found a cyst and removed it. I'm now 3 months out and I feel Absolutely Great! Thank you so much !! I also want to thank your team and nurses for being so nice and helpful.

I'm a 45 yr old former Navy SEAL with an incredibly active lifestyle that has taken a toll on my shoulders (swim, golf, lift, climb, surf, etc). By the time I got to Dr. Dold my left shoulder had been causing me considerable pain and it was impacting everything I did. He ordered an MRI that showed the root of the pain. My shoulder was a mess. He performed a tenodesis procedure that truly changed my life. That was on December 27, 2018. I was back to light activity within 3 months and I was 100% by 5 months. I've referred seven people to him, and I tell people that "he is a magician". I wish I would have done this two years earlier when the pain first started. Not only are the results fantastic, but the entire process was smooth and easy and I thought it was very reasonably priced. My golf game is now improving and the strength and stability that I had years ago has returned. Dr. Andrew Dold has my strongest possible recommendation.
