Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Curran "My care philosophy involves educating my patients about their diagnosis and engaging them in the treatment decision process. I fully believe in exploring and exhausting all non-operative options before recommending surgery. If surgery is necessary I utilize arthroscopic or minimally invasive techniques when feasible to facilitate a more rapid recovery. Finally, I work to build a good rapport with my patients so that they are never uncomfortable asking questions regarding their health care."

Dr. Curran takes the time to listen. He's very good, encouraging, easy to talk to. I was apprehensive because I had an issue with a nurse in his practice but I am so glad I chose Dr.Curran. I had a full knee replacement 5 weeks ago.

Two or three years ago he operated on my ankle and now I have a disability for life. Can't bend my ankle and have nerve damage. Many doctors and physical therapists have done all they can to help me. They wouldn't return my calls in a timely manner and I was going in to shock from pain. Never would...more

Mother went into shock after they gave her 2 pints of blood in a matter of 2 hours. He was unconcerned, kept her doped up. She has now seen another knee surgeon for her other...more

He is a very good surgeon and has excellent PA's supporting him. I would highly recommend Dr Curran. I have been very pleased with the result of my total knee replacements and am pain free for the first time in 5 years.
