Care Philosophy

My care philosophy involves educating my patients about their diagnosis and engaging them in the treatment decision process. I fully believe in exploring and exhausting all non-operative options before recommending surgery. If surgery is necessary I utilize arthroscopic or minimally invasive techniques when feasible to facilitate a more rapid recovery. Finally, I work to build a good rapport with my patients so that they are never uncomfortable asking questions regarding their health care.Read more

Boise, ID |
Dr. Curran takes the time to listen. He's very good, encouraging, easy to talk to. I was apprehensive because I had an issue with a nurse in his practice but I am so glad I chose Dr.Curran. I had a full knee replacement 5 weeks ago.
in Meridian, ID |
My recovery from total left knee in April by Dr Curran is so much better than my recovery from total right knee last July by a different surgeon that I constantly remark about it to anyone I talk to. Friends and relatives remark about how well I am doing. Minimum pain and discomfort. I was doing so well the physical therapist who came into my room to discuss my follow up treatment released me immediately. Dr Curran called me at home to apologize that he had not seen me. A class act.
in Salem, OR |
Two or three years ago he operated on my ankle and now I have a disability for life. Can't bend my ankle and have nerve damage. Many doctors and physical therapists have done all they can to help me. They wouldn't return my calls in a timely manner and I was going in to shock from pain. Never would return the physical therapist's calls to them. This has now caused back problems. I am ruined for life.
Nampa, ID |
Do not go to this doctor. Did my moms knee surgery. He screwed it all up! It had never been right ever since the surgery. Mother went into shock after they gave her 2 pints of blood in a matter of 2 hours. He was unconcerned, kept her doped up. She has now seen another knee surgeon for her other knee. He said Dr. Curran made a mess of her knee, will need to have it surgical repaired to undo the damage, then she can have the other knee replaced. Many complaints from other patience's as well!
Emmett, ID |
He is a very good surgeon and has excellent PA's supporting him. I would highly recommend Dr Curran. I have been very pleased with the result of my total knee replacements and am pain free for the first time in 5 years.
in Caldwell, Idaho |
