My son suffered a posterior sternoclavicular dislocation in November of 2020. Dr. Assenmacher developed a clear plan for repair and recovery, as this was a rare but significant injury that would require an extensive repair and long recovery time. During recovery, Dr. Assenmacher kept us informed of the next steps and what to expect as our son recovered. I'm glad to say our son is fully recovered from this severe injury and can now continue to enjoy the things he loves doing with no limitation. Thank you, Dr.!!

I was injured in early 2020. No Doctor able to help me even with MRI's and I was about to give up and face reality that I'd have to learn to live like this with little function out of my dominant arm. Thanks to Dr. Andrew my surgery took place at the end of the year shortly after I initially seen him and I'm still in recovery but I have gotten back more motion than anyone had thought and the pain has went from a 10 to a 3 in just a matter of weeks. I don't know how I will ever be able to repay him for helping me get back closer to my physical abilities and potential. I will always have all surgeries go through Dr. Andrew. I'd also like to mention his bed side manner is one that will put you at ease and laugh even at the worst of times. Dr. Andrew and his entire office gives you a positive outlook on surgery and recovery and is always willing to help in anyway they can.

Great results, excellent pre/post-op plan & patience to provide good answers to my numerous questions so that I was comfortable with every phase of the process. Repaired retracted Supraspinatus, distal biceps tendon tear and ball/socket arthritis. 6 months later I’m hitting the heavy and speed bags and my shoulder is feeling better than pre-injury. Thankful to Dr. Andrew Assenmacher for allowing me to continue my active life, with minimum delay possible, that’s been important throughout my 57 years.

Dr Assenmacher takes his time to explain in depth to his patients their diagnosis, the plan, and what to expect. He is very thorough with explanations even showed post surgery xrays of work done during surgery. His Physician assistant was very kind and helpful. Office visits could be a long wait on certain days and others I was in and out quickly. After surgery, he provided my family with updates. The only complaint I would have is prior to surgery, I asked about pain management and exercises to help with my shoulder pain. The office staff's reply was very quick. "he doesn't prescribe narcotics prior to surgery." I did not ask for narcotics I asked for a pain management plan. There could of been better suggestions not making it seem like I was drug seeking. Lidoderm patches, motrin, etc. When not asking for a pain management plan the office staff was friendly and kind.

Dr. Assenmacher was absolutely fantastic. He did my rotator cuff and bicep repair. It ended up.that a cadaver graft was necessary. I'm so happy with the results of this surgery. I had shoulder surgery and the entire process from beginning to end was great, especially the recovery. I did so much better than friends and family that went to other doctors. I am only 5 months post-op but my shoulder is almost back to 100%!!!!

Very professional office staff taking initial information. Dr A also was friendly and professional easily diagnosing my problem and offering more alternatives than I expected. Surgery was the last option mentioned and was an easy choice because I had already decided what I wanted.

Dr. Assenmacher repaired my elbow after a freak fall that crushed my joint bones. His bedside manner helped me feel very comfortable, informed and in excellent hands. The result he helped me obtain is 100% positive as I have full motion and use of my arm again, with no pain! I had 2 knee replacements, by another surgeon, that will need to be redone sometime in the future. There is no doubt I will be going straight to Dr. Assenmacher.

A month ago I had my first appointment with Dr. Assenmacher and I was less than happy, so much so that I left a poor review, which I never do. Today I had my follow up appointment and it was a very pleasant experience. He was not only attentive and informative but at the end he apologized for my previous experience. I appreciated his humble yet professional handling of the situation. I initially went to Dr Assenmacher because a friend had referred him and after today I would as well.

I would recommend Dr. Assenmacher to anyone with an orthopedic issue. I had a mass in my hand that was causing a great deal of pain and discomfort. Dr. Assenmacher was able to take an x-ray of my hand on the spot and determine that surgery would be required. Within 2 weeks I had my surgery and the hand is doing great!
