Care Philosophy

Patient care and wellness is the primary goal of a physician. As a surgeon with more than 30 years of experience I believe that it is more important to decide when not to operate than to perform an intervention that might not benefit the patient even if the intervention is successful. Each patient is an individual that is facing a disease that requires understanding for resolution. An illness is not just a pathological process but a psychological one and a caring physician has to treat both.Read more

Would highly recommend. Dr. Katz is quiet and doesn't say much...he does what he needs to do, and leaves. So if you want to discuss your upcoming surgery with him, have your questions planned ahead of time. He answered all of my questions during my consultation...plus I discovered that he had performed 10,000 of these procedures. I went into surgery with complete confidence in him and he did a great job!

Simply put, Dr. Katz saved my life in 1982, when I was 17 yes old. Awesome surgeon!!!
