Dr. Sakopoulos saved my husband's life. He had a "silent" heart attack due to his diabetes. Dr. successfully performed a CABG x 5. Before, during and after the surgery, Dr. was extremely kind, caring and professional. Most doctors of his caliber do not have very good bedside manners, but Dr. Sakopoulos is amazing. I feel that he always goes above and beyond what he needs to do, to be sure that the patient and their family understand what's going on. You never feel rushed in his care. He will take the time to listen. He is easy to understand and talks at a level that is well understood. He took such good care of my husband and was very reassuring to me, every step of the way. He even call us at home one evening to help us with an unusual situation. He has a sense of humor and has always made us both feel very comfortable. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this doctor. He is simply The Best.

Dr. Sakopoulos saved my life in April of 2014. On Easter, I was flown to St. Helena Hospital with a thoracic aortic aneurysm. My prognosis was not good, with only 15-20 minutes left to live!! My understanding is that only approximately 10% of these patients survive! I was very grateful not only for his expertise but also his patience and bedside manner. Every time I see the scar on my chest, I am reminded how close I came to dying. Thank you Dr. Sakopoulos, for saving my life!!!

Four years ago he spent nine hours on a surgery for my dad and came back exhausted but took the time to explain the procedure and what recovery would look like anyway. This man checked on my dad everyday he was in the hospital. Couldn't of had a better surgeon perform the surgery. He took care of the whole family. Thank you.
