Our practice focuses on: healthy aging bio-identical hormones chronic disease diagnosis and treatment detoxification weight loss Improving sexual health and vitality non-surgical aesthetics regenerative therapeutics using platelet rich plasma A Preventative Practice: Most healthcare today focuses on treating disease, but our approach is to use the strategies of functional and regenerative medicine not only to diagnose disease in its early stages, but to prevent disease before lasting damage can occur. We use a combination of tools such as bio-identical hormones, personalized nutrition and fitness, targeted nutritional supplements and natural therapies to help patients achieve optimal health and wellness. A Regenerative Practice: Aging is inevitable but recent innovations in medical science and technology offer us a number of options to help patients stay healthier and feel better for longer. Our practice relies on advanced laboratory testing and genomics to help us diagnose illnesses and manage disease. We are also very excited to offer cutting edge regenerative therapies using platelet rich plasma to our patients. Platelet rich plasma promotes cellular regeneration and has been used successfully in our practice to help patients regain sexual vitality, improve urinary incontinence and rediscover youthful skin. Amy Killen, MD Amy Killen MD is the Medical Director of BodyLogicMD of Portland, an anti-aging and regenerative medicine specialty practice focusing on helping patients achieve their goals using the most advanced non-invasive technology and medical expertise. After working for more than ten years as an emergency physician Dr. Killen became frustrated by her inability to create meaningful and lasting change in her patients. She felt like there must be a better way to lead patients towards wellness and improved vitality. At the same time, she was beginning to feel the deleterious effects of chronic stress, lack of sleep, and poor diet on her own general health and happiness. That's when she decided to make a change. Dr. Killen began studying and training in anti-aging medicine, regenerative and functional medicine in hopes of approaching patients and health from a different perspective and with a new toolbox of innovative and effective treatment options. Dr. Killen has partnered with BodyLogicMD, the nation s largest group of highly trained anti-aging and functional medicine physicians. She has completed certification in Age-Management Medicine and has accumulated more than 200 hours of further training as part of the fellowship of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine through the American Association of Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr. Killen is actively involved with both the American Association of Anti-Aging Medicine and the Age Management Medicine Group and is board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
