Dr. Chang is absolutely amazing!! My husband is a patient of hers - he was a type 1 diabetic until she referred him to the Scripps Transplant team for a pancreas transplant. We went through the whole process and he was transplanted almost 4 years ago (and counting). She has forever changed our lives!! Also, he wasn't always compliant so she was great at cracking the whip when it needed to be cracked. We are forever grateful to/for her!!

This was my first visit to the Anderson Outpatient Pavilion of Scripps Clinic. I needed to see an endocrinologist and my doctor recommended Dr. Amy Chang at the Scripps Clinic I'm La Jolla. Luckily, I could get a fast appointment with Dr. Chang. We got there about 45 minutes early. Luckily, there is a coffee place in the next building so we were able to get coffee and a scone that we took back to the waiting room. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. I was called just before my appoint

I took my father to see Dr. Amy Chang, the office staff was disorganized and blood work and a urine test were done. The Office kept calling the wrong number and when I called to request the results an unqualifed staff member read me notes from a screen. When I had questions on the results she couldn't answer any of my questions. I have been calling Dr. Chang for two weeks to discuss the results and she has never called me back. My Father is very sick and I get no response from Dr. Amy Chang.

Dr. Chang prescribed a low dose of a medication I had not come across in my own research, and it solved a lifelong problem associated with PCOS for me. Very grateful. Wish I would have come sooner.

Not going back. She barely examined me and basically told me if that there is only one medication that is covered by my insurance for my condition. If I wanted a different prescription I needed to make another appointment with another office. Took 6 weeks to get the first appointment. Now it’s another 4 to see the other guy. I’ve had this condition for 10 years. She didn’t hear anything I said, didn’t write down the things I discussed and then sent me elsewhere. Meanwhile I just feel worst.

When my thyroid issues change she saw me once, then didn't see me again 4 another 3 mons. Told her I was really nervous, losing a lot of hair, and having other symptoms, she knocks it off as depression. Went & got a second option, I was having reactions to my meds, when taken off the meds my symptoms faded. Tops it off w/, she said I could "look up my results online" 4 a test that told me ihad autoimmune disease & would need to meds 4 the rest of my life, instead of calling me like a human being

She is very nice, but she does not listen and she is terrible at following up. After 4 weeks that I visited Dr Chang she didn't even ask my primary Dr for my file ( she said she need my file to make recommendations) and didn't call me with results of my test or had a game plan. Conclusion I went to someoneelse

She tried to refer me to a surgeon who was not fellowship trained. If you do any research you know that if you need surgery you want someone fellowship trained. I am happy I asked for a another surgeon who is fellowship trained at Scripps. I have since found out she only refers to this one guy and he is not the most experienced. Can you say kick backs! When I called her on it, she smiled. She smiles a lot but is dishonest. If she recommends surgery ask her for more than 1 recommendation.
